I'm on the verge of seeing mine flower, being teased by a bud at the moment .... x Tig I agree it's a great pic Tig with the colours on the leaves and the grass to the right hand side. It's a great little Rose and I've been delighted with my 2. Great pic Tig, love the combination with the grass. Jillyx

Thank you for the noms, I'm sure I'll get a better photo of it before the end of the season, I've been out to inspect progress this morning - it's like waiting for an egg to hatch x Tig

That's lovely JMc! I think my AF has forgiven me for planting it so it was bunny dinner and then digging it up again to rescue it...

It's the healthiest rose I've got in my garden this year JMc...even if it is slightly lopsided!

Both my Angelface have done so well this year. It's remained fairly healthy despite the huge amount of aphids around. I even found a Vine Weevle inside the flower one day. This is the one in the middle bed. 2 of the buds are quite white looking compared to the other buds on the same stem for some reason. I wonder if anyone would know why. It'll be interesting to see how it develops.

AF is a rose that reacts to the weather, I have found...it seems to change it's shades depending on how much sun it gets....
Perhaps yours is on strike until you get better weather - haha!!!

I know what you mean about it changing colour Rf. Sometimes it looks pinky and at others is a lovely peach colour. It might be waiting a long time for good weather I'm afraid. I am hoping we have an indian summer but it was really autumnal this morning.

You've got lots of buds there LG. I was just thinking yesterday what a lovely old fashioned rose smell it had - reminded me of the roses in my grandparents garden.

Had to move poor rosie out of her half barrel so we could move it for the builder....she's in a terracotta pot for now, but not sure what to do with her in the long term

I would find a sunny place in the garden for the long term - it can't stay in a pot for ever unless the pot gets bigger and bigger... I had mine in a pot for three years and the last year it wasn't too happy - now I have it in the ground it has done very well indeed..

Thanks RF, I can't think of anywhere suitable in the ground but I'll have a thunk, and maybe dig up a bit of grass ;D
