This is the one I sneaked last year, it's a Swarovski crystal cherry tree apparently. Not a very good photo because it is beautiful, but it's more the brightness, we're the other side of a dual carriageway & it still lights up our living room with the curtains open, not sure what size of house you're meant to have, without the aid of special glasses i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd161/GWDAdmin1/Smilies/Default/grin.gif Jillyx

You indulge away Missy Witch - that is what Nannas do! ;D Going to town with the boys tomorrow to see if they can find anything they might like Santa to bring them...and to buy some trackie bottoms that look like they're vaguely related to their ankles!

I haven't really started my shopping yet...and I've only just started making the cards. My yuletide is stuffed anyway because of the shifts I've been given. Saturday 22nd December : 0800 - 2000 Sunday 23rd December : 0800 - 2000 Monday 24th December : 1200 - 2000 Tuesday 25th December : 0800 - 1600 Soooo......it's egg and chips for yuletide dinner...but I'm off 26th, 27th and 28th. A lottery win would be nice...then I could just jack in work

CPB I do empathise, I've spent my fair share of Christmas and New Year working although I have often found there's a good atmosphere. I think my best working Christmas was Kings College Hospital in London. The catering dept sent us up so many goodies as did the patients in the ward, we were like a big happy family. i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd161/GWDAdmin1/Smilies/Default/smiley.gif Anyhow Jenny has made a start on my Christmas buying, I got a lovely new tree with silver and blue starrs and baubles to match my sitting room. (It's mostly blues).

Ohh Cheery There's some bloomin' long days there. I grew up with a nurse Mum so Christmas day was often a bit topsy turvy. OH's work always tried to work it so that folk with little ones got Christmas Day off but the boys have grown up with their Dad often working at least part of the day. The countries unsung heroes...keeping things going.

I'll be working on my own I'm afraid...might see the odd porter but generally I don't see anybody. It isn't a problem tho cos I'm only working for another four years....

Who was it on here said they would need a nice easy puzzle to do - is it for them Missy? ;D might be a bit too easy for them Jas i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd161/GWDAdmin1/Smilies/Default/wink.gif I really really want a real tree again this year, I hated the artificial one I had last year and I think that GD is old enough not to pull it on top of her now besides I always had a real one when my kids were little.....

Real trees smell so festive!! They're quite dear though for something you get rid of after a few weeks.

I went in the loft to fetch down some old photo albums yesterday...I upset the box that contains the tree decorations, including around 300 red glass balls.....the ones that were in tissue were OK but two boxes containing 25 small glass balls spilled out of the attic smashing all over the landing, down the stairs and into the hall..... It took me 2 hours with a dustpan and brush followed by the vacuum cleaner....aaaurgh! The best ones are OK tho... ;D I have 2 presents so far....going shopping on Wednesday to get a few more.

They had real trees for sale in B&Q the other days. They were in pots but wrapped up with netting, supposedly growing.
