Our tree is going up on Thursday. Said to hubby yesterday that I might as well show willing lol Went to ASDA yesterday and bought Dad's cheeses-after hunting for some with good use by dates. Some of the cheeses they were selling (and had a lot left of) were use by yesterday!

I wonder if folks are cutting back a bit TT. Good that you got it anyhow. I find M&S don't have very long sell by dates on most of their fresh food. Even their nuts the other week were sell by 24th Dec.

Pam I think you need a quick shutter speed to get rid of the blur, and it is best to try taking a photo just before it goes dark if you can. Although most cameras have night-shot options you have to be able to hold the camera very still to not get any blurring because they are set to leave the aperture open for ages. I've gone 'festive' ;D Done the big tree in the dining room, baby one in the lounge, tinsel on the hall and landing windowsills - I contemplated doing some outside but it is a bit too wet at the moment. Just need to sort something out for my cards now, ice the cake and make some mince pies ...... oh and wrap the presents x Tig

It's the thought that counts I guess! ;D Although I guess it depends what the thought was! ;D
I think after our shopping trip (roll) the boys' stockings are now sorted - I was beginning to feel that I'd never get the Christmas prezzies ticked off.

We got all the non perishable supermarket shopping tonight, as we've decided that from Christmas eve to when we go back to work 2nd January not a single calorie will be counted we did get quite a few treats What we did laugh about though was that even though our 2 tier wine rack is full to overflowing we still got a bottle of Proseco, a bottle of Harvey's Bristol Cream a bottle of Amaretto and a bottle of Jack Daniels Tennessee Honey, this wouldn't be so bad if not for the fact that we're only expecting one visitor over Christmas (who normally sticks to beer) & OH rarely drinks more than 2 glasses of Red Wine at one go i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd161/GWDAdmin1/Smilies/Default/grin.gif Think I'll need to get back to work to dry out

Lovely well done Geranium and Lady's Jenny A bit early for Chinese Lanters but last night one rushed by my window trying hard to get a lift into the sky with the wind blowing all over the place and failing I watched it cross the road; it could have hit a car and then land in the garden over the road - kept my eye out in case it caught fire to something I cant believe these are still legal

Thanks JW Isbella and Jilly and Geranium, I'll let Jenny know you like it. This is her first year as part of the group. That's where she made the yummy mince pie filling too I think. Isabella your door hanging is smashing. Well done. i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd161/GWDAdmin1/Smilies/Default/smiley.gif I made mince pies last night with Jennys filling, goodness they were rich and tasty. I had to try them out you understand........... I'll have to make more for Christmas.

At the Womens Group that Jenny goes to she made this smashing display this week. I think it's great and she enjoyed making it. I missed your pic LG. Clever Jenny - it's beautiful!
