Not at all Auricula...it's the first ever one I've been up for!!! I was just gobsmacked! I don't think your source has ever been wrong has it? Before I watched Strictly did John Sergeant 'resign' because he was the joke act and good dancers kept being voted off or am I making that up' Yes he did Jasmine. Here's what The Guardian had to say. He said today in a statement: "I am sorry to say I have decided to leave Strictly Come Dancing. It was always my intention to have fun on the show and I was hoping to stay in as long as possible. The trouble is that there is now a real danger that I might win the competition. Even for me that would be a joke too far. I would like to thank Kristina and all those viewers who have been rooting for me through the series." Oh, thanks for that Ladygardener. Did they just have a week where no one had to leave when that happened - as in be voted off as JS had voted himself off?

He came on the show and had 1 last dance and then left Jasmine. As far as I know, there was no vote that week. I can't really remember.

It's never happened again has it? Widdy would never have taken herself off would she!

Dave should do the 'decent' thing and resign, I am thinking of e-mailing the beeb to tell them I will stop watching if they keep putting 'novelty ' acts in, they aren't there for their dancing ability are they, there's a campaign on twitter apparently telling him to shove off.

Did you doubt my spoiler Jasmine? ?? I think it was just an argument Missredhead which got blown up by the rather volatile James on Twitter ( he'd popped outside for a fag apparently ) and the tabloids. Apparently it's all been sorted No Bruce next week... From what I hear Auricula the BBC got involved and Karin apologised to Ola. Something to do with Karin saying Ola is a rubbish dancer. As per the mail online. What did folk think of Madness on Sunday night? I thought the whole production was somehow well suited to a Halloween theme.

I liked the Madness song but OH loves Madness and has never quite moved on from the 80s musically! One of the TAs at work was reading her ipad at lunch and saying there was a campaign to get Dave to drop out of Strictly. I have to say I'd find it soooo embarrassing if it were me and better dancers were leaving before me. Why, oh why, did Karen take on Ola with James just 'outside getting some fresh air'.

Yes he is, he's trying... just not succeeding I think he's very entertaining and see no reason why he should go, any more than Fiona, Ben or Patrick should go cos they're boring and not getting any better ( albeit from a higher position) The BBC say "vote for your favourite" and "it's an entertainment show" They think it's the new free online votes that's skewing things, but, as ever, it's all good publicity for them. I hate the one who don't try ( Anne Widdecombe, Nancy delOllio, Martina Hengis and Jerry Hall ) but don't mind those who have a go. Barbara there was a spat between Karen and Ola and Ola was very upset. Karen apologised ( when told to by the Beeb) but there's great furuore on DS about it. Karen apparently said Ola is a rubbish dancer and that's why she was at the back in the pro dance Apparently some of the pros were nasty to Karen when she was new last year....... but...who know the truth of these things??? Rachel wasn't getting any better, but then, neither is Natalie , so it's all swings and roundabouts. The thing that's really getting on my nerves is Craig and Bruno lusting after the men's physique. If Len said similar things about the girls there'd be a right rumpus

Sorry Auricula, but I think Rachel has come on leaps and bounds, ( and steps and twirls as well.)

I've never had any problem with the comedy acts (Lord knows we have to put up with Bruce, so we're in need of a bit of real comedy ), but I was expecting better things from Hairy Dave this week, his Passo was hilarious & I thought Haloween would have been right up his street, but it was just a bit . I would lay good money on him going this week though, if not for his dancing, simply because he's Karen's partner & the real ST obsessives that vote multiple times (like the ones on digital spy) aren't exactly a forgiving lot

I think they can hardly blame the 5 free online votes per person for loosing good dancers while keeping in folk for entertainment value, it has ever been the way on Strictly. As you say Jilly, it's an entertainment show not a dance competition, otherwise the likes of Natalie would be sure fire winners and although she's a very good dancer, I'm not convinced she will win. I do hope Dave goes this week 'tho as I think he does'nt appear to try at all and the choreography is rubbish in my opinion. I just have'nt taken to him but I have taken to Mark and thought the bit of disco in his routine last weekend was fine given the theme and the song. Aoife asked me to vote for Patrick so he gets one of our votes every week and I think he does dance well. Ashley does'nt ever impress me at all. I've often found that society allows gay men to make remarks about handsome straight men while straight men can't do the same thing to women and get away with it. That's the way of the world but perhaps it will change over the next 20 odd years or so.

I've had a sneak preview of the dress rehersals on the BBC website. I must say, Ben looks good in his sailors outfit, I'd vote for him just to see him wearing it, never mind the dancing. Should be an especially good night tonight with no BF so I won't have to ff. I enjoyed seeing Kevin on ITT last night, he has a good old sense of humour. Sophie certainly looks the part for her Tango, I hope she and Brendan can carry it off. I don't know if Auricula will be around to do the spoiler.

Great to see you Auricula. Hope everyone is enjoying the show tonight. I do like Claudia's dress, it really suits her I think. I thought Sophie and Brendan did well but I was shocked at how low Craig marked Ben, I thought it was a very good effort.

I thought Ben was like a plank of wood I thought Mark was by far the worst dancer tonight, he hardly moved at all, even Dave did better than him. I wish Fiona would go.... she's boooorrrrinnngggggggg

I thought Mark and Dave barely danced at all - quite pathetic the pair of them. At least Ben is pleasant on the eye, and his jive had loads of steps which he did well for a big bloke.
Natalie skipped this one, wonder if she will lose support because of that.

I agree that Mark and Dave did'nt add much to the show last night. I was disappointed with Mark, I think Iveta made the choreography all about her and did'nt give Mark a decent chance. Dave stomped around and although everyone is saying how hard he has worked, he did'nt do a lot of dancing. I really don't like the way he answered the judges back. I did'nt much like Anton and Fiona, it looked shabby to me and forced. I admire Susanna's enthusiasm and she does seem to be learning each week, I like Kevin too. With Natalie not there, the show was more of an even field for everyone I thought. Auricula many thanks for the spoiler.

I totally agree about Mark and Dave - time they waved goodbye! Mark stomped around, he didn't dance, and as for hairy Dave, well! I liked Susanna a lot. Shame about Natalie - I enjoy seeing her dance. It almost looks effortless.

Poor Natalie - I wondered how they'd fill the space with her dance missing but the only thing that was missing was the dance so that's probably only about 90 seconds plus the follow up chat with the judges. Tess and Claud were brilliant - it must be a joy to everyone when BF takes the night off. Thanks for the spoiler Auricula! - looking forward to the results show 'tonight' I like how Iveta plays to Mark's acting talent with her choreography but last night didn't work Can't warm to Hairy Dave's partner at all.

I will miss the next 2 Strictly's but at least when I get back there should hopefully, only be the better dancers in the competition. I still think Ashley is the only male celebrity who has shown any improvement though......girly winner on the cards for sure methinks

I dont like her either Jas.....
I was a bit surprised at Darceys mark for Patrick considering the little 'incident' at the end of his dance... I missed Bens dance so will have a look at it later...I saw the rest and have to agree with you all...Fionas was boring, Dave & Marks dances were a bit 'lazy'..not much dancing from them at all.....lots of stomping though.

We could do straws to see who has to stay up late to get the result!!! I was surprised that they said Patrick was the best male celebrity dancer last night and made predictions about who was going to be in next week. After last week's Abbey surprise anything could happen...although things do always seem to sort themselves out as the weeks go on! Has Anton ever made it to Blackpool before...with his celebrity partner that is!!
