I shall be torn - we watch the X-factor, and they've gone head-to-head. Mean or what? I think we'll be sticking with Simon and co as OH likes it. He doesn't like Strictly.

Geranium they've not gone head to head yet on X Factor, they're still doing the auditions. I record X Factor and watch Strictly when they're both on but I found last year that X Factor did'nt start until Strictly was over. Might be the same this year, or they may overlap for a few minutes but we'll see.

Well that was a very subdued first lot of pairings - only Ola looked a little bit excited...oh, and Jennette, she did some wiggling too! The second lot look a bit more pleased with the whole thing! Did they say that Joanne was Kevin's sister?

Yes Jasmine she is his sister.. I had to laugh at Natalie...does she really think we believed her when she said that she wanted the old guy?.. As much as I like Alison..I do feel a bit sorry for Aljaz I am recording X Factor that way I can FF the ads...I only watch the auditions...I like i the ones that are convinced that they can sing and clearly cant...

I don't feel in the least sorry for Aljaz Missredhead, I think Alison will be really good, she's great fun and very light on her feet with good rhythm I think. I thought she did well in the group dance last night. I did however think that Tim Wonacott has 2 left feet lol. I thought Tess and Claudia were fun and did really well and the whole show was much more light hearted than in the past. At least we did'nt have to keep waiting on them to fluff their lines.

I think perhaps they'll play to her strengths Missredhead. Most of the time on strictly one of their feet has to stay on the ground anyhow, unlike Dancing On Ice where half the time the ladies are being carried around and they can hardly skate never mind dance on the ice don't you think. BF said he would be doing the CIN and Christmas show, more's the pity.

I like Strictly, but as they will insist on putting the X factor on at the same time, I have to watch Strictly on iPlayer.

Yes, we're well outside Auricula, but it's fun, and OH doesn't like Strictly. I suppose I could record it now that our DVD/video m/c is working again.

Who did we enjoy watching in the first couple of progs then? Ladygardener, Geranium, Jasmine, Missredhead, Auricula, There were quite a few very decent 'first attempts' I thought. Alison Hammond surprised me, for a big girl she really gave it some wellie!! Frankie was very graceful and Simon Webbe did very well. The 'not so goods' for me were quite a few in number this year, who will go first is anyones guess with so many contenders. Judy, Tim Wonnacott, Greg, Jennifer & Scott didn't really have much rhythm or natural ability!! Claudia did well, but her hair looked a mess when someone tried to make it less straight! It was just 'kinky' and made her look older I thought.

Can't stand Alison Hammond, she really grates on me . Frankie was my favourite before the show started ( she comes from Essex like me, Frances is one of my favourite names and I love babies, and she has a new one nothing to do with dancing ) I don't like "muscly men" so a couple of them were out After the first week I thought Simon, Frankie and Pixie were the best ( as they should be, being young, fit and used to performing in front of a live audience) Thought Claudia looked old without the heavy fringe, heavy eye make up and no fake tan, but she looked great in the second show I thought Tess was nervous but was better in show 2. That Trent...... isn't he skinny? ( and camp as a row of tents )

I thought I put a post on here Friday night about what the so called stylists had done to poor Claudia Auricula, but I must have forgotten. She looked so much better on Saturday, now she's back to her usual scatty self. No one is really standing out for me with the dancers, it usually takes me a couple of weeks to get used to them, not watching soaps or taking much notice of modern pop I've not really got a clue who most of them are. The women seem to be much better than the men atm though (apart from the guy from Eastenders, who did a decent job of the tango). Whilst on the subject of the tango, don't know who had the bright idea of using rock tracks to dance to, think someone must have done a good one last year, but I don't think it's working at all well this year.

Glad you mentioned the odd choice of music Jilly, some didn't even have the right tempo at all for the dances. I didn't think much of Pixie but she may get better. Half of them were unknowns to me, I don't watch rugby, soaps or the likes of TOWIE tongue

Who picks these so-called 'celebrities'? I don't know half of them, either.

For a change, I knew most of the celebs to see at least apart from the DJ's and Thom the rugby star. I see the gossip about couples has started already with speculation about Thom and Iveta. wink These are my thoughts for the two shows. I thought Caroline Flack did well although I did expect her to and Jake Wood did as well although I never see him smiling. Most of them put in a good 1st effort although I did think somehow that Judy Murray would have had better posture and Pixie Lott was'nt as good as I thought she would be. Absolutely dreadful were Gregg Wallace Tim Wonacott and Jennifer Gibney and perhaps one of them will leave this week. undecided Little Aoife likes Steve Backshall of course and thought he was great, all the GK love The Deadly 60 books and shows. I'm not sure yet who Hannah will be rooting for. I thought overall I thought Frankie and Keven made a lovely couple but I've not got a favourite yet. I agree that Claudia looked so much better on the 2nd show and for once Tess wore something that suited her as well. I'm looking forward to seeing it at the weekend and will be voting as always.

I thought he was really smashing Jasmine. I don't know him and thought him very sour faced last week, the only time he smiled was sitting at home with his children. This week was so different and his dancing was not what you'd expect for week 2. Judy Murray was dreadful, her posture was shocking and she had no musicality at all.

Pixie was great was'nt she Jasmine,. She looks good and moves so well and her hands and arms were lovely. Hannah wants me to vote for her but I'm pretty sure she won't need my vote. Aoife still wants me to vote for Steve and he has'nt even danced yet, she does'nt care.
