Apparently Claudia may miss the rest of this series. Her daughter has severe burns and although she is improving, it'll be a long job The BBC have told her to take as long as it takes and she said she'll play it by ear. I like all 3 of them and shudder when I think of the BF days

Yes I read that too Auricula, poor little kid. I'm sure they're all traumatized by it as they'd all have been together when it happened no doubt.

I felt sorry for poor Tess so glad to read that Ladygardener. Didn't get to see SCD this w/e but watched the result show after everyone had gone home yesterday. So glad Judy has waltzed her last waltz!!!

It'll become really interesting now, although I think Sunetra and Steve should be the next 2 to tango off.....unless one of the others completely f**** it up

It was good to have her back! I enjoyed last night - you can sort of see where the show is going now! Jake's dance was interesting!!! It set Bruno off anyway!

I did'nt either Jasmine I'm afraid, I just did'nt get it at all. What on earth did they have all those extra dancers on the floor for? a not so bright idea from someone! Apart from Jake bumping into them, they took away from watching the contestants.

We commented on that Ladygardener, most of the couples seemed to have something extra going on in the background...or right under their feet in poor Jake's case!

Interesting watching it on Len's Lens this evening - looks like the professional backing dancer may have needed to be looking where she was going What a treat to have The Lord of the Dance troupe on the show tonight - I love Irish dancing!

I really enjoyed the Irish Dancing last night too Jasmine. I remember all those years ago seeing Riverdance on the Eurovision Song Contest. Who knew that they would be so famous all around the world after that. I saw that on Lens Lens and you're right Jasmine, it did look like it was the fault of the professional dancer rather than Jake but Craig was having none of it was he. Even when he saw the clip he tried to say that Jake should have moved out of the way.

They're doing a Waltzathon as well as a dance each this weekend. As you say Auricula, the prize could be anyones at this stage. I guess it depends on who the public want to keep in..

I wonder how the Waltzathon will go tonight, will they bump into each other. I watched a rehersal video on the bbc site and it's dicy enough. Looking forward to a good show tonight now that all of them can dance. csmile

A quarter final near miss! I guess a good professional would be able to waltz off out of the way but everyone would have to be concentrating wouldn't they!

I thought it was a good show last night, everyone brought something good to the table. My favourites are Pixie and Caroline, that's who I voted for anyhow. I've given both of them a vote or two since the beginning.

I thought it was a shame Pixie went out last weekend, but that's the way it goes is'nt it.
Caroline all the way for me now (I hope I'm not jinxing her ) I'll have Jenny and Aoife watching with me tonight. I'll have fun watching with them. They're all doing 2 proper dances tonight.
I'd been reading that Ola Jordan had signed up for the series The Jump on Channel 4. Yesterday it was in the paper that she has suffered a serious injury on an indoor ski slope while preparing for the show. Now there's been a statement saying she has had to cancel her appearance on any of the group dances on Strictly and bow out of The Jump. She's in hospital. Poor Ola.

I was just reading that too Ladygardener, they say it might curtail her dancing career entirely, apparently she is in hospital Frankie and Kevin are my faves, but the EE vote will go to Jake Caroline is the bookies favourite apparently and they thing Simon or Mark will go tonight

We gave our votes to Frankie and Caroline. Aoife seems to like everyone and it was good fun to watch the show last night with her and Jenny. As always, there was a bit of overmarking but overall I could'nt disagree with the positioning of folk on the leaderboard. What did folk think of Mark and Karins rumba? I thought it was way too contemporary and Mark hardly danced at all, he seemed to me to just walk around positioning himself to show off Karin. I did'nt think she took the mild criticism very well either, it's not as if they were really hard on her. I did think she seemed to be looking for a sympathy vote. Lots of other dancers have had far worse things said to them and they've handled it a lot better. It was a big risk to do something contemporary but at least do something resembling a Rumba and let the celeb do a few steps.

I thought Mark and Karen's rhumba was.... gorgeous Ladygardener, a new and refreshing slant on the dance. I've warmed to Karen this series, and Kevin too, much more so than last year, I don't know why that should be, except, I do like both their partners ( who both, co-incidentally, come from near where I was brought up ) I liked all the last 6 celbs actually, and think it will be a close call who wins - I've never seen such an open race from the 1/4 finals onwards. Looking forward to seeing what Tess, Claudia and Darcey are wearing tonight ( and if they can balance in their shoes ) My girls don't watch scd at all, they're X- Factor fans and think scd is very Grannyish
