This is a still from the video Came down earlier to find her walking on the work tops in the kitchen. She had climbed up a stool, via the rungs, jumped on to the top of the waste bin (slippery stainless steel) and from there jumped up. Now we will have to find somewhere else to put Bill's food bowl. His special diet food is not suitable for cats under 6 months. She is now sat on SWIAR's feet miaowing for scraps as the Boss makes a Scallop risotto type thing for dinner.

It never ceases to amaze me how cats can walk along the thinnest of paths/rails and jump great heights without it taking a flinch out of them. Jemma seems like she has a great little personality already. smilx

Just wish she would learn. Every time she starts to chew the cables to the computer she gets removed into the kitchen and the door shut, but as soon as she is allowed back in, cable chewing is begun again. Getting the cables where she cannot reach is impossible. We have managed to get the electric wires where she cannot get them so at least she should not electrocute herself.

The gamekeeper brought us a pair of pheasants this morning, reward for keeping an eye on their birds for them. I took the tail feathers off one and strung them up for the kitten, she has spent 2 hours now killing them. If we walk past, she lies on them as if to say "MINE! GERROFF"

Love reading this thread, she's such a little bugga isn't she, lovable though Have you tried smearing something that wouldn't taste nice on the wires OB, dare I suggest a little mustard Pity your'e not near me I have a dog cage that would be great for night use until she settles, a litter tray and bed would fit side by side.

Better with the litter tray, but still has episodes when she will walk past it and go behind a chair in the lving room. Still attacks Bill and Ben when they come in despite them really getting angry and growling, hissing, spitting and claws out hitting her. She still bites the hand that feeds her too. If we cannot stop her doing that then she will have to go, sad, but she is too dangerous especially when she gets bigger.

Well at least Bill and Ben are now both getting annoyed ....it's a difficult one owdboggy, however it sounds as though she is going to do just what she wants - perhaps she needs to be the boss, in that she is the only cat somewhere. However, I wouldn't accept her biting or spitting at me...as you say "biting the hand that feeds her"!!

The gamekeeper brought us another 4 pheasants this morning. Jemma though they were delicious. Then of course she had to find a recipe. And that Bookshelf is right up at just below ceiling level too!

She got a wing to play with, as before. She then spent hours playing football with a sprout from the Veg rack. Found 27 hazel nuts under the freezer today, She pinches them out of the bowl and then loses them. The pheasants have not been cooked yet. They were quartered and put in the Freezer for future consumption. We already had a guinea fowl in the oven when the pheasants arrived.

Jemma has been to the Vets this morning for her injections. She weighs 1.97 k which is reasonable. She is not going to be a big cat. There is a slight heart murmur which is a bit of a worry, but it could be stress from the journey. She is very subdued now though.

There is a slight heart murmur which is a bit of a worry, but it could be stress from the journey. She is very subdued now though. Pleased she has got her jabs - not sure I like the heart murmur bit though...possible I suppose that the car journey brought back initial fears when she was dumped...dunno!! Thought I had answered this - wonder if I am not losing it!! My uncle used to bring us pheasants from a game keeper that he knew - crafty so and so used to bring them and then arrange with Mum to come to lunch so that he didn't have to pluck them!! I had to laugh at the hazel nuts - our dogs used to pinch potatoes - eat some of them, play with some, and hide some under the kitchen dresser...I used to fish some out on a regular basis. One day I dropped something and as I was on all fours trying to get it I saw something long and thin appearing from under the dresser...panic stations - got up and knocked my head on the table, decided that of it was a snake then my OH was a waste of time so I got a long bamboo cane and from as far away as I could I went under the dresser to scoop whatever it was out... I felt a right fool when I ended up with a dried up old potato which had grown enormous long stalk and that was peeking just out at the front of the dresser...!!!

I've found pieces of scampi, cocktail sausages, chips and grapes underneath or behind chairs, I don't know how Suki does it. I think they're all thiefs our animals.

No. She is now locked in the kitchen so that Bill and Ben can get some daytime comfort sleeping in the house where it is a bit warmer than outside or in the poly tunnel. Even though they both have attacked her over the last few days (hiss, spit, growl and claws out, but not ruffled fur stage) she still jumps on them when they come in and when they settle down. If it carries on then we both feel she will have to go. The stress is not doing either of the boys any good at all.

I know that she is driving you nuts but I secretly admire her.. She has been thrown out like a bit of rubbish and only survived when you found her - she is behaving as if she is determined to make up for lost time and it wouldn't surprise me if she doesn't think that you and your OH are "her's" !! She may well be jealous of any affection that you give to Bill and Ben...hope she settles soon...
