Poor AJ is on crutches with her foot all strapped up since monday, she's unable to practice due to ligament damage I think, at the moment but still hopes to take part in some way on saturday night.

I don't know Jasmine. I feel very sorry for her, Kai too but hope she's able to make a good recovery. Tilly won't be dancing in the final as she has tested positive for Covid19. |

Not that I recall Jasmine but on DOI one of the celebs took part by sitting on a chair and waving her arm around, I think she'd broken the other one or something. She exited from the competition 'tho. |

Oh it is, I feel sorry for Kai and AJ if they can't dance on saturday night.
I see a lot of the shows in London have had to close for a few days or more over the past week and going into the weekend due to members having covid. I think there will be a lot of disappointed people around over the next few weeks.

No way Barbara, they can't just bring someone else in to compete but they could fill the time by showing another pro dance or something. Janette said last night or the night before that she will be dancing with Alijiz and it had'nt previously been on the cards for her. |

ITT last night was one of the best I've ever seen. Normally after the final we say it would be good to interview the runners up and that's what they did last night, lovely interviews with all 3 finalists as well as little hello's to all the other contestants. Rylan and Jeanette did a little dance on the dance floor and he was very good indeed. I think that's the first time ITT was held in the strictly ballroom studio.Kai was in tears for most of his interview with AJ although she seemed to hold things together well. They are gutted. We're all still looking forward to tonight and I'm sure you're right Jasmine they will pad out the show and we'll still have 6 dances from the contestants. |

What an amazing final, I honestly didn't mind who won so I shared my votes (and Nat's) out equally. I think I cried my way through the last bit of the show - both show dances were beautiful! Anton is so sweet - I love a chap who is in touch with his emotions.
The judges looked stunning!
Glad AJ got to speak and wave her sparkly crutches around!

We all loved the show last night as well, the dances were great and it was lovely to see AJ and Kai so included and all glittered up as well as seeing the vt's. Both pairs of dancers were smashing, we shed a few tears as well.

We watched our first Strictly final. Nothing to choose between them imo, both were splendid...altho its a public vote I would be interested to know how close the vote was.
I don't know if we'll watch subsequent series...if we do we've decided to record episodes, then fast forward through all the wifflewaffle and just watch the dancing and maybe the judges' initial comments.

You're lucky Ladygardener! I thought I saw the numbers and Rose was quite a way ahead but then again I might have been imagining or mis-reading it! Apart from the dances my favourite bit is when Claudia talks to the judges. |

Finally got round to watching the Christmas Strictly, what did you think of it? Adrian Chiles was definitely out of his comfort zone and Moira's samba was gentle but she did amazingly for her age. I thought Mel was fab, she's so funny but Anne Marie's cha cha cha (and her cha cha cha legs) were very classy.

We finally got to watch the Christmas special yesterday, we enjoyed it. Anne Marie was really good and I laughed when she said Graziano wanted to win so much. I have to say that although street commercial is'nt either latin or ballroom we do enjoy watching it, Mel and Neil were very good and it was a lovely way to end the show.
