Aren't they sweet just shows nature doesn't really need us there to perform.

maggy, you have loads of colour there, love those little Viola and the colour of the Wallflowers. Great to see a bit of blue sky. I've noticed a lot of new growth on our Roses here as well, we've not even pruned them all yet, must get a move on.

Lovely pics maggy and Tig. Those crocus are early! Not in bloom, eating things in fact, 4 lady pheasants (one is behind one of the bird feeders)!

That’s lovely Jasmine, are you doing the big bird watch ? Every Thursday the farmers near us are out shooting those lovely birds.

No, I probably won't maggy, that is sad about the pheasants. Ours don't stay long but they are coming by nearly every day at the minute.

Interesting that the pheasants are popping in Jasmine. Super selection of spring flowers Tig. The pollinators will be delighted as well.

How lovely Tig, does your Chimonanthus smell lovely? I've never smelled it and the one I bought a few years back died.

Even with my blocked sinus I can smell it LG, although it isn't that easy to sniff as it is part way along the front fence mid border. When the sun is on it the fragrance seems stronger, wafts back towards the path & kind of reminds of hyacinths but not as sickly strong if you know what I mean.

Yes I know what you mean Tig. Smell is funny with me, I think it has something to do with the treatments I'm on, even some of the stronger honeysuckles I can no longer smell and none at all of the hamamelis at all.

Thank you maggy, that one is a new one but this is one of the old ones blooming again. There's a part of the journey that we travel going into town here and there are loads of cowslips and even some orchids growing but there's no sign of them blooming there yet. Maybe mine in the garden are a bit early. This one is Queen of the night, Jenny bought it for me back in 2020.

I can't wait Jasmine, the scent always cheer me up, and the bees seem to like them too, the crocus had lots of visitors yesterday.
