Pics of Schmickles under the xmas tree and in her new bed which is packed away for the time being. Just noticed this Aprilaydee. Schmickles is the spitting image of our Mushi!

I did a bit of a double-take too Roan, until I realised that young Schmickles is far slimmer and prettier than my fat-furry-monster! ;D

WELL, Rita, funny you should mention about names...
A while ago I said on here that my next 2 pets would be called Butters and Timmy as they're characters from South Park. However, that might yet change depending on how I feel what I get them.

He looks like he's just 'pigged out' on the best ever dinner Roan! ;D Mushi's a she and when it is hot she collapses in the coolest place she can find. It always amazes me how her whole lower body can just splay out as though she has no bones at all!

I know cats don't have any collar bones but it's amazing how small a space they can actually fit thru.
When Schmickles was a kitten and wasn't doing death dives off the landing, she was squeezing between really small spaces that I couldn't get her out of again. I was kinda glad in a way that she got bigger even though she was sooooooo cute!

Do you find, Roan, and April too, that with those markings they have have, your cat can be laying amongst the plants in the shadows, and you just cannot see them there until he/she moves and flashes a white bit!!

I've just spent nearly an hour going over this whole thread. What beautiful cats you all have. We have a cat,Henry,he's 16. I was there at his birth. We had his mother from a kitten.Unfortunately she died two years ago. Henry never does more than he has to,as you can see. [img src="http://i215.photobucket.com/albums/cc130/gypsymidge/cbdg043.jpg" img] This one was taken on one of those extremely rare occaisions when Henry managed to open his eyes.Notice he has one ear up and the other down. The floppy ear is due to an operation he had to have after severley bashing it on a table leg whilst frantically chasing his tail. We went up to the local RSPCA today and are getting 2 female 8 month old kittens from there (same age as Schmickles). They only came in there last saturday so they can't leave for about 10 days and will have to be kept in for a few weeks so figured that will tie in nicely with the house move and keeping Schmickles in for the same amount of time.
They're currently called Princess and Trixie but they will definitely change! I don't mind Trixie so much because we had a good friend, who sadly passed away before xmas 2006, who was called Trixie but I think I'll change it anyway.
Currently thinking of Florence and Emily aka the 2 "ladies" from Little Britain but not sure about them yet.

Yes, Mushi loves hiding and then springing out at us! She does a thing we call the Cat Haka, where she arches her back and springs sideways, it looks really funny! ;D

Schmickles does that too. She has mad half hours and starts prancing.

Apologies Roan for my confusion over Mushi's gender! Henry looks a fine cat too EG. We have a little boy who'll only go out if he's pushed. I've never known such a 'homey' cat I think Henry's ear gives him a look of distinction ;D

My wife reckons she is going to come back as a cat in her next life and have me as her "staff"! ;D

Looks like his eyes are not going to be open for long! ;D Love the ear ;D Love the idea of a Cat Haka, Roan ;D My boy occasionally stirs himself to a tail-chase, but when he catches it he bites it! Then there's a yowl and a mini-Haka! ;D Then gets embarassed and washes, until the tail catches his eye again ;D

Schmickles has the tail problem... it keeps following her around so she sees it off.
Still trying to think of alternative names for Princess and Trixie now.

You could do a poll! ;D

Yeah but if I didn't agree with the results I'd just change it anyway lol
Then again, I think you've gathered my sort of humour so you'd probably know the choice I'd make!
One is proper tortoishell with one beige foot and the other is black and white with a black spot on her nose.
OH doesn't like the Emily and Florence route, Bodgit and Scarper was another thought. But I still quite like Butters and Timmy even though they're both female lol
Ooooooooooh I dunno. I'm sure something will pop into my head.

Ohhhhhhhhh soooooo beautiful!!! When I went up to the RSPCA centre last week, there was a black cat in the thing opposite that looked just like Shadda, I got a little upset I took some pics of the cats we're getting but I can't find the cable so that'll have to wait a little while.

Schmickles came in the other day with blood all down one of her back legs and "mess" (ahem) all around her bum and down her legs.
I phoned the vets who said that sometimes when cats get bitten by other cats they have a erm "involuntary motion" so that's probably what it was. I was advised to just keep an eye on her but she's been fine since.
Bless her! She's a gobby madam but she's not a very big cat or a bully.
