Finally decided on names for the kitties - Tinker (Tink for short) - little female and Brew (short for Bruiser) - big boy! They now come for cuddles so I think they've settled in and feel at home, at long last.

Yep, she's fine jenny. She just loves being loved! Lots of face rubbing and have you ever known a cat to look you straight in the eye? And hold your gaze? They dont often, do they. But she does. Goes right through me sometimes ;D
Still has a rotten cough on occasions but she is filling out well. Looks like a bit of a pudding now.

I kind of think we're lucky jenny. To be able to have the pleasure of her in our lives. Sounds a bit corny; not meant to.

Well, update on Smudge and her babes. All been to the vets and had jabs! Costly, that was Tink and Brew are both little boys!!! They're now booked in for the 'snip'. Smudge has had 'it all taken away' and now sports a lovely bare patch, duly stitched. Looked pretty zonked out all evening but did manage to eat a little bit of something and slept a lot. She had problems breathing when given the anaesthetic so they stopped proceedings and took an xray. She has an abnormality of her sternum and very small lungs which were full of fluid (which explains her cough!). They gave her some diuretics to help clear her lungs. She seems to be making a good recovery and is longing to get outside. Tink and Brew are loving to be cuddled now and have made themselves very much at home, I'm pleased to report. ;D

Ah found it. Lovely cats Shrub. Nice pic. There are times that I am tempted to get a cat....... Then one day dutchy you must give in. ;D They can be the most delightful companions. Very sociable, loving and loads of fun. And mostly take care of themselves.

I know but one has to be there to be a good companion and I am out and about too much. It would not be good for the cat. You can't just get a pet and then leave it to its ow devise.

True! Cats are better than other pets at being left to their own devices though - they find lots to entertain themselves with My OH and I are often not around during the day and they cope fine!

They sleep 20 hours a day, Dutchy (its a tough old life but someone's gotta do it! ) You don't have to be there with a cup of tea every time they wake up ;D If you're not about much get 2 cats!!! ;D

That's why we got Schmickles <coff> I told OH it would calm Shadda down if we got another cat and it would also keep him company.... haha funniest thing I've said in ages. Schmickles is off her head and doesn't leave the poor bugger alone. Then again, he HAS calmed down since we got her. Shame she more than makes up for it!

Probably!! He doesn't get any peace. If it's not Schmickles it's Eric. Eric pins him down, licks him and then tries to put his head in his mouth or grip the back of his neck. It's definitely not malicious but I don't really want my cat's head being put in my dog's mouth lol He decided to lie down on Schmickles earlier, nearly crushed her...

You're right jenny. My christmas trifle will send them into temporary oblivion ;D I'll try to get some up to date pics this weekend. NO, the boys are about 7 months old I would guess. We have four. Holly is from a previous rescue, and then there's Smudge and her two boys. So, four in all. They keep us entertained in our dotage.
