We decided to eat out of the freezer tonight. After rummageing earlier and finding all the emergency pre packed meals like Lasagne, Kievs etc are all out of date we are having good old fashion home made chips, eggs, baked beans and crusty buttered bread. YUM YUM YUM ;D Whats everyone else having

Nothing at all wrong with beans on toast! We are having roast chicken, mash, carrots, cabbage and the LAST TWO COURGETTES OF THE SEASON. The roast tatties and parsnips are Aunt Bessie's from the freezer.

Ooooooh I feel so full now, just need a big mug of T to top it all off. Your Ckn and Broc pie sounded good Karen, Safeways (now Morrisons) used to do a good one it had a lattice top. Theres nothing wrong with beans on toast or poached or scrabbled eggs on toast, lovely.

The roast tatties and parsnips are Aunt Bessie's from the freezer. The chicken was rubbish. It was an oven-ready stuffed thing from Sainsbury's and it was totally devoid of flavour. Guess what the dog is having for dinner this evening

Are we ALL having roast chicken?! I had a slurpworthy free-range chook...stuffed and roasted just perfectly <smugsmiley> with roast taters, sprouts (!), carrots, sweetcorn and gravy. No room for pudding but I may squeeze in a segment or 12 of chocolate orange (it jumped into my trolley when I wasn't looking ;D)

Would that be lamb stew or a Liverpudlian? LOL ;D PML Rita! Actually OH, who is a Liverpudlian, makes it with beef but it's delicious, and has been stewing away in the slow cooker for hours now. I feel hungry just thinking about it!!! ;D Chicken curry sounds yummy - we haven't made a curry for ages. That's going to go on the list next week, if we have a roast chicken at the weekend.
