Mine seems as though it is starting to open before it is high enough .......is that normal? The stem is only about 6 inches at the moment?

Post by Plocket on Feb 1, 2008 9:14:58 GMT
I certainly will post more piccies, but at the moment I have no idea how tall it is. I'll go and measure it when I've eaten my brekkie!!! ;D

From the crown of the bulb to the top of the stalk (not including the bulb or the bud) it measures 19 inches. With the bud it measures 24 inches

Ok here we are then......... the new DWARF Amaryllis variety. It measures 6 and a half inches to the bud and the bud is nearly 3 and a half inches - so that makes it a fantastic 10 inches. I have just watered it as well.

From the crown of the bulb to the top of the stalk (not including the bulb or the bud) it measures 19 inches. With the bud it measures 24 inches I beat you by 1inch then, measureing from/to the same as you did. How do you go about watering yours then Plocket,do you water from the bottom.as i do,or from the top?
|
|
|
Post by Plocket on Feb 1, 2008 12:08:23 GMT
Erm... I just water it! I haven't actually thought. Sometimes it's from the top and sometimes from the bottom probably. And since the bud got to a reasonable size I've been watering with plant food too
