That is a very pretty auricular, as are the ones I can see in the background. They are such lovely flowers, but I daren't try them at home as I don't think I could keep them damp enough and I'm sure the vine weevils would be rather partial. They probably wouldn't last in the lottie garden either. A couple from me Osteospermum Petunia

Thank you for the nom Rosefriend,. It is quite an unusual colour if I'm honest, but I like the way it starts more yellow and then changes through to orange with the hint of purple in the middle.

Always pleased when things which are a bit of a challenge flower again - the scadoxus mutliflorus isn't hardy enough to go out so it lives permanently in the front bedroom

Thanks for the noms Amber, Ladygardener, Rosefriend. I think this one thrives on neglect, once the seedlings are planted out I tend to forget my watering regime! I've had it a fair few years now, and it does have some small shoots coming up in the pot like it has had babies. I rescued some gerberas for 99p a while back, thought it would be too cold for them though. Planted in a container and this one has gone mad, bushed out like crazy and throwing up several new flowers The kniphofia have suddenly appeared with all the rain and also in orange shades, rose London Bridge, so many buds on this year it is flopping over

Lovely pic scarecrow, our allotment was like that last year but the council in their wisdom put down membrane and then bark chippings all over it. At the allotment this weekend. One of the poppies that the girls have sown has opend up.
