I'm sure I could find room for another one Dutchy!! I've had Vyvyan Pennell for a couple of years now but it obviously wanted to really get established before flowering. It's still not open properly and I'll post another picture when it is, but I'm delighted with it - the colours are gorgeous! I've still got more that haven't ever flowered for me: Addisonii and Angustifolia which OH bought for me this year so no surprise that I've not seen them yet, and Purple Princess which was also new this year. I got Marmoria last year but that's not flowered - it's putting on new growth though which is a positive sign I've had H F Young for at least a couple of years and it's never flowered for me, and shows no sign of doing so this year either, and Princess Diana and Ernest Markham but they were both new last year - there are buds coming on Princess Diana though This was the first year that my Wada's Primrose flowered and that's taken three years to settle in!!! So there's still plenty more for me to get excited about ;D

Hi NL,
I bought three new hardy Geraniums this year and they are all fairly new on the market.
The one you mean is Geranium Pratense-Hybrid "Midnight Reiter" - which has blue flowers and black/red leaves - it is really beautiful. It is also very compact.

I had hardy geraniums for years and for some reason got bored with them and gave them all away but some of the new varieties are gorgeous - I now have 4 in all.

RF Compact is good ;D I've got a few hardy geraniums but they're a bit naughty at swamping everything around them!

Must admit that is why I got rid of a load of hardy Geraniums - this one seems to be a lot compacter but it is early doors yet. Ask me a little later on in the year - perhaps I will have changed my mind!!!

It also gives me a nice excuse for popping over to say hello and maybe go to Hamburg for a bit of shopping bit of serious tourism. As for all else on here... yummy yummy purlpes, keep them coming.
