Before I went out for lunch the garden was all aflutter - trying to capture them on camera though was a real challenge as they were flitting from one flower to the next in seconds, but I did manage to get these Small tortoiseshell and a Peacock Hurray for spring x Tig

Folk speak proper English in Stafford, it is one of the few places that doesn't have a local 'accent', once you get to Cannock it is a different lingo altogether - you need a passport and an interpreter ;D
They seem very active and skittish at the moment RF, it was quite a challenge to hit the shutter while they were 'still', I got a few blurred shots of vanishing orange blobs ;D

Lovely pics Tig and glad you've had some butterfly visitors. I've just been reading an article by David Attenborough about the butterflies we have lost and the ones that are in danger

This isn't my first butterfly, I've had a few cabbage whites & the Holly Blues have been fluttering about but this is the first one to sit still for me. I suppose it was to much to ask for it to settle on something that was a bit more of a contrast . Jillyx Great pic Jilly from me...
