Well done RF - apart from cabbage whites there have been very few here since Spring. Think that cold spell we had after the April heatwave must have knocked them back x Tig

Saw a peacock yesterday but despite my chasing it round the garden it didn't want to be snapped. Same with this Gatekeeper, it sat with it's wings closed for ages, but I was determined x Tig

No RF, the spare bed, and it's dead, no idea why.

Well caught Jilly. They do like the Verbena don't they. I've seen some on my Bud Buzz too a few days ago when the sun was here.

Day before yesterday (a day when the rain stopped for a few hours and the weird orange ball of fire appeared briefly in the sky) I spotted this drying itself off ... It's an Orange Tip Butterfly, not that you'd know from this angle x Tig

They are quite furry when they are freshly hatched, I think it must wear off once they start flapping about. Thanks for the nom Jilly Bobbie I'll look forward to seeing some of your wildlife, it is great to see what visits other gardens. Toronto Trini usually shares some of his birds and butterflies once the weather in Canada warms up a bit, lots of different species to what we get in the UK x Tig
