I am indeed a wildlife magnet Look what was stuck on my cardie today!! Scary or what!! I released it back into the wild, otherwise known as our back garden, and got a couple of shots of its better side It was about three quarters of an inch long from nose to tip of tail (or whatever it is officially called), I have looked through all my books and cannot find anything resembling it, so any suggestions gratefully received?? x Tig

I got a reply regarding the strange looking caterpillar - Amo your OH was right first time! Just at a different stage of development .. Quote - This is a young Puss Moth caterpillar - they start off completely black when really tiny, then moult into this stage, eventually turning into a rather strangely attractive fully-developed caterpillar like this: ukmoths.org.uk/show.php?id=4178Asked if they could add one of my photos to show on the site too x Tig

It was only tiny Chuckles, and I bet you have more than you can think lurking in your garden WT, if the spider had been in amongst my plants I wouldn't have spotted it Amo I think you might be alone in your admiration ;D Todays little hover fly on the peach gerbera ..
