I now know what it is LG - a yellow dung fly .. scathophaga stercoraria Today was happy bug day, and bees, and flies .. so many - but restraint (I am recovering ) ;D

Took some pictures of flowers last week and these bees just happened to slip into the picture! Also saw this little Praying Mantis this week.

This morning the garden was insect heaven so I had to snap a few of them .. Then I spotted these two with another watching from the sidelines ... He obviously had a plan ;D Tig

Jury's still out on whether this is an aphid. I think not but not sure. Could it be an immature grasshopper?

It is a ladybird larvae (British one, not harlequin!) LG - off to munch the greenfly hopefully.
