Thanks Pip - managed to snap a few more today - but I will leave them for a while - don't want to bore people rigid with my daft hobby (I really do enjoy seeing the detail in these little critters that is beyond my normal vision! Nature is wonderful x Tig

Tig, I take my hat off to you......that is one mighty camera you have! I've never knowingly been able to harm any sort of insect but I dont think I can bring myself to 'like' them. You've got to respect them though haven't you? Such complex little things.

Well, under normal circumstances - here is something I don't like , Having said that - the cold weather obviously slows them down, so I dared get a little bit closer - Quite cuddly looking - in a strange sort of way x Tig

they are such beautiful creatures when you can see them this close. Dont get that close to waspies even if it is cold. Great Tig thanks.

Suns shining ;D - and I've just done a quick tour of the estate! No 1 is a tiny bug hiding in the Choysia 'Sundance' No 2 was sunbathing on the Acer Globosum x Tig

How fab are they..... my camera does'nt seem to want to get the close ups as clear as that even tho I have a macro setting.

Sorry taken so long to reply...had to go and find camera Its a Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ3. Do you know about cameras then FA It seems very good at distance pics and other types ie if something is moving, but the macro setting is'nt very macro if you see what I mean! FF x
