Tig, that's an..................um...................interesting creature! sr I think the poor thing was nearly dead - we had such a frost yesterday morning - it was still moving though when I gave it a gentle prod I've looked through all my books and the closest I can find is the caterpillar of the Beautiful Brocade Moth - but I'm not 100% x Tig

Look what was lying on my doorstep this morning I thought it was dead, but on closer inspection ... it moved! I know what you are thinking ..... did she stamp on it? the answer is ... no - I don't like wasps but I thought it should have a chance so I found a small cane which it happily grabbed and moved it onto the grass, will check later to see if it has recovered and buzzed off x Tig

Hands up, how long did you think it would be before I found one of these to snap? ;D I saw a green one, but this one is less 'common' The ladybirds were on the go as well, having a warm, make the best of it I say, they will need to tuck up again for the weekend x Tig

I think this little one (less than 1/4 inch) may be a dreaded harlequin He was stuck to a t-shirt on the washing line! What do you reckon? Tig

Nice monster I have its green relative staying at the moment. Can't get it off the ceiling as it is too high and I don't know where it will fall when I tap it Love the Bumblebee good shot there.

That was an unsual looking ladybird you found Tig, glad it wasn't a Harlequin. I've saved that site to my Faves for a looksy later Great Flight of the Bumble Bee pic. Shield Bugs are amazing insects aren't they, they camouflage themselves really well, that one is a lovely colour. Amo what is that don't like the look of that pointy back end it has.
