Same here Rosefriend, it was nice when I walked the dogs , but by the time I had driven to Guisbrough it was raining and got wet walking from car to shop! It's still at it! |

The storm missed us, we were lucky, just lots of rain and a few gusts which blew over the temporary traffic light signs but no damage. Sunshine this morning and a bit of a breeze. May get the washing dried.

The storm caused a lot of damage round here and the flooding is really bad. We had a bit of a break yesterday but it has poured most of today. I feel so sorry for folk who've had their homes destroyed. Lots of kind folk out though with chain saws making roads passable again and so on.

Hope things get back to normal soon without too much trouble for all Jas.
We have minor damage as a few branches of the contorted willow broke but nothing big or serious.
We did get annoyed by the squeaking of Hawthorn branches against the kitchen roof.
( cut them back in the end )

Sorry it got your area Jasmine, cold wet homes are horrible, I wouldn't wish it on anyone. Cold and wet is the forecast for the week up here, just the odd bit of weak sunshine, I don't mind cold, you can wrap up, it's the constant wet I hate. |

Absolutely Barbara, months of cleaning up and drying out and worrying when it's going to happen again. I said exactly the same thing to Alan this morning - he came back from walking Brenna and said it was cold - I said it was better cold and sunny than raining and grey. We've got a couple of nice days before more rain on Wednesday. |

It's been a lovely sunny morning here, and not too cold. The wind has got up a bit now though and it does feel much cooler, sun is still shining though. I think we are forecast rain Wednesday & Thursday, otherwise dry.

Been quite nice here today sun shone mostly but not good enough to dry my washing , half finishing off in dryer others inside. Supposed to be the same tomorrow.

It was a dry mild morning, I got the patio tidied up, and leaves raked, then the heavens opened and it's not stopped raining since, cold as well now.
