lugged some stones up the top of the veg garden to make a new flower bed, never got chance to start building it as it started to rain.

swept all the leaves from the tree into a huge pile, am planning on mulching them or something when I find out how to. Popped to the GC and somehow managed to get lots of plants in my trolley so came home and planted out some pansys and some gorgeous red cyclamen into pots/troughs. That was enough after yesterdays planting madness ! Jardack

My friend and I spent a couple of hours pruning, weeding and tidying the garden area at the local church. It is a new garden that was created after some building work was completed, and we have offered to keep it looking neat and stocked. We are planning on putting in some bulbs and spring bedding in the next couple of weeks.

Harvested all my ripe orange peppers (11 one had gone black and when I cut it open a moth flew out, that's a first for me!!! Picked two chillies which were red, and the rest of my ripe tomatoes (Shirley f1 and tumbling toms - gave a bag to the neighbours), and four courgettes (before the cold hits us this week) Mowed all the lawns yesterday. Need to put more stakes round my purple sprouting broccoli - they are rather top heavy and leaning Tig

Forgot to mention that I weeded the veg patch and dug it over, ready for a feed. Made celery soup, fresh from the garden.

Ooooo am always put to shame when someone posts they made something they dug up from their own garden - I may try and grow some carrots next year but has to be in pots cos the dogs would dig them up

Got an awful lot of weeding done ... and am resolutely trying not to tidy up, cut down plants that have finished flowering etc. so as to leave seedheads for the birds and shelter for other beasties. ... cheers ...
