I was amazed last year how easy they are Auricula. I planted some of LG's seeds and when I finally dug them up they had the hugest tubers. I have overwintered one tuber to see what happens and I saved seeds as well. If you would like some collarette dandy I'll send you some of those.

Yesterday I sowed Geum Lemon Drops (thanks CPB) & Anagalis in the heated propagator. I've also resown Cobea as the two that I had from a few weeks ago are far from happy, they just grew taller and taller but the seed casing was so tough, their poor little seed leaves couldn't break out, I tried to help using a fingernail & I think thats finally done for them i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd161/GWDAdmin1/Smilies/Default/rolleyes.gif . I also sowed some Sweet Peas & the Sunflowers in the mini green house. Jillyx

Hi, already sprouting are Silene Jack Flash, Salvia patens,Rudbeckia amplaxicaulis,Tithonia, Mina Lobata ,Pansy, Cosmos ,an everlasting flower, Echium and trailing Anthirinium. I've also ordered plug plants on line( where to put them?) Days are getting longer and I feel like I've been in hibernation for the winter. Once the seeds start sprouting I feel much livelier.

I bought my seeds from Wilkinsons I think, for 75% off Auricula, my offer still stands if you would like some of my seeds

Very pleased with the heliotrope dwarf marine, rhodichitons, sempervivums and cerinthe - all growing well so far. Even the little coleus have germinated x Tig

I've used water from the butt as well and yes it does make the soil all yucky and green so I also use tap water now. Sowed loads of seeds today. Sunflowers various Poppies - shirley and black Cosmos teasels Amaranthus - ribbons and beads Cornflowers - blackberry and blue I'm not good at transplanting so I am going to try and be more careful this year. i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd161/GWDAdmin1/Smilies/Default/wink.gif
