Sounds like all your seeds are coming on well. Mine are now. I'm pretty sure now that I've lost my touch and have been sowing them into compost that is too wet. I'll not sow any more (I promise) until I buy some new compost. The stuff I've been using is old and I think between that and my heavy hands, only the stronges of seeds is coming through. I've used both old and new seeds and the result is the same.

I've done the same in the past LG and still do occasionally I reckon its a sure fire way to get failures. What I do now is keep my compost bag sealed so it stays moist, if I pre fill trays or pots etc I try and keep them covered with a prop lid to keep it moist. I gently spray the surface once I've sown too. I only soak in a small amount of water if I really need to.

I've potted on all the ricinus today and put them in the dining room where it is a bit cooler, I need to stunt their growth or I'll have to build an extension for them!!
Must sow my cobaea & gaillardias. All the sweetpeas were sown today, outside in situ.

I sowed a few Cerinthe outside in the garden. I've got a few self seeders there and they've come through the winter so we'll see what happens.

I took an agastache (Liquorish blue) grown from seed to GW Live in 2009...and was filmed giving it to Carol in the plant swop tent ! I am usually a very shy person and would run a mile rather than be filmed, but I was sooo excited at meeting Carol, and she was soooo nice to me that I didn't care about the film crew...
Last year I took an astrantia...and they asked me to be filmed again. I said that I'd been filmed last year and would rather not...so we decided to give somebody else their 30 seconds of fame....

Funny how that happens. I noticed today that Hannah has a few things growing in one of her sweetpea pots. I'll be growing the mina lobata too but since they can't go out until after frost I was going to leave them until I'm sowing the morning glory. Should I be sowing them now? Has anyone sown them before and are they difficult to germinate?

No more difficult than ipomoeas...I won't be sowing mine until late March-early April...when I sow my MGs.

oooh....what a lucky boy ;D
I am trying to hang fire until the seeds I already have in the big heated propagator have germinated. When I start pricking out I plan to bring the 'innards' of the PVC GH into the conservatory to put all the pricked out pots in. Hopefully they will have enough of light as well as being warmish...
