I'm seriously worried that I won't have room for all the seeds I need to get sowing now.

Belamcanda chinesis sown on the 12th March are peeping through today I've sown 4 x 40 plug trays of cosmos sea shells, coreopsis tinctoria, marigold tall scotch prize & amberboa moschata and put them in the walk-in growhouse. They all said they could be sown outside April-May so I reckon they should be able to cope a bit better in there x Tig

I bet you are glad you have the walk in growhouse Tig as you are sowing all them seeds! I want one! I saw them in Wilkos a few days ago. They had two different sized ones. Did you get yours there?

I was really jammy PJ and got mine when Homebase had 20% off and it was reduced from £49.99 to £32.99 and I paid £26.49!! Barbara got her daughter one from Wilkies though, and she said it was the same as mine I just hope it doesn't get too cold overnight for any seeds that germinate x Tig

If we stood a candle on the floor, would that be enough to keep the seedlings warmish. ?

I've never been very good with Nigella either Geranium.....I love the seed heads so I wish that I could grow them. The blue 'Miss Jekyll' seed themselves, - it's the others that don't want to get going. I've tried two packets of of 'Moody Blues', and also the white ones, with not a lot of success. i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd161/GWDAdmin1/Smilies/Default/sad.gif I'll see what happens this time.

I now know what we're doing wrong with some seeds what you are supposed to do is this. don't put them in a heated propagater, just sow them in a seed tray, balanced on the back of a chair and the edge of a radiator, slam the door and the tray falls of scattering soil, and seeds all over the kitchen floor sweep it all up, bung it back in the tray and, put it on the windowsill then the next time you look, you have seedlings. ;D

;D Brilliant Barbara! I do think we fuss about too much with some seeds, the tithonia wouldn't germinate for me at all whilst being careful with them, but when I bunged em in willynilly they all came up! I didn't expect my trays of seeds in the walk-in growhouse to germinate as the temp drops quite cool overnight, but this morning the coreopsis are just showing! I've sown silene Jack Flash, fingers crossed for them. Emilia coccinea Scarlet Magic, gloriosa superba and have some yellow cerinthe major seeds soaking. Going to sow some more lobelia tupa as the first lot failed to appear x Tig

I think I ended up with 3 Hordeum Jubatum Tig - they were obviously really good little seeds. Easier than Molinia

;D I think I might have one tiny Molinia...could be a weed though! I got so fed up with them I shoved them in the fridge for weeks and now they're on top of the recycling bin and there is one tiny speck of green.
