My honesty are all up - they look far too frail to get through winter though

That makes me feel better - they're only doing what nature is making them do after all.

I'm hoping for flowers on mine next year, remember you sent the seeds earlier in the summer (thanks again) and I've planted them out. They really took off when they were planted and are a right good size now. Hope yours do as well for you.

Oh yes, I think they were a mixture of purple and white honesty - I waited til they flowered and only kept the white. Hope you get some good flowering plants next summer Ladywitch - the seed pods are smashing as is the scent of the flowers.

Very good Jasmine, does'nt it have smashing leaves. Today I've sown more Nigella Candytuft (thanks Tig) and seeds from a flower at the allotment whose name I do not know. This is the 3rd time sowing them but none have germinated. I'm delighted that the unknown seeds from the allotment, which I'd sown for the 3rd time are starting to germinate now. i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd161/GWDAdmin1/Smilies/Default/smiley.gif I've only sown a few each time.

Just for a challenge I've sown some seeds I collected this morning from the pennesetum setaceum rubrum - very doubtful that anything will grow as a little bit of research unearthed a scientific paper which said the germination rate for them is 0.05% But I'm still giving it a go x Tig

I had to 'rush' Auricula, 'cos when I researched some of my seeds it said to sow now or they won't be big enough to flower this year, and the LL has to be treated as an annual in my neck of the woods .... wonder if they will reach 7' I also sowed 5 Black Madras oryza sativa ... probably too early, but I've got plenty to try again later if they fail x Tig

Yes impressive leaves. Isn't it some kind of rice? You could grow it as a crop ;D

It is rice Dutchy, just pretty looking rice - I'm going to grow it in a bucket with limited drainage holes so I can keep it wet (first I need to get it to germinate and grow - and if it produces seed that'll be a bonus ) x Tig

Apart from the Black Madras everything else is up & out of the propagator, Oh heck I thought they were things that would take a while to germinate. Now where am I going to put them all? Jillyx

My Black Madras was a bit slower than the other things I'd sown Jilly, but should appear soon (keep the compost nicely moist but not sopping and make sure they get plenty of light ) x Tig
