I shan't start sowing until March. Here the day length seems to be more important than temperature. After years of leggy seedlings I've decided to sow later....the babies soon catch up. I haven't got any seed compost yet.
Having bubblewrap up in the GH does make it lovely and toasty in there tho...I'm well chuffed with the temperature in there.

Good on you CPB sowing in March is early enough. Although I will sow some kale leaf in my GH for early munching. Everything..., no broad beans those too will be end this month. All else is for March.
As for flowers has any one ever tried Tremocos? Lupin beans that are edible.

My seed order arrived this morning so I filled 8 large pots with mpc in the bottom and seed compost on the top inch, and have sown the Athamanta turbith, Anthriscus sylvestris 'Ravenswing',,Cenolophium denudatum, Myrrhis odorata, Peucedanum verticillare, Pimpinella major 'Rosea', Seseli hippomarathrum, Fagopyrum dibotrys - they will all be left outside, just hope we have some cold nights and that the darned blackbirds don't try to pinch the compost. The hydrangea quercifolia & michauxia campanuloides have been sown into pots covered with a plastic bag and will be kept on the front bedroom windowsill. Valeriana officinalis is to be sown in late Feb or March depending on windowsill space Of the above sowings the michauxia campanuloides germinated quite quickly indoors and are growing on well, need to think about pricking them out. Some of the others which were outside have seedlings, the sesile hippomarathrum and anthriscus Ravenswing are up in good numbers, Cenolophium denudatum has one seedling as has myrrhis odorata, although that could be a weed growing as it doesn't look right to me!

Sweetpea and Calendula are now strong and healthy plants and as they've been outside all winter I've planted out 1 lot of sweetpea.
I've sown some Calendula Indian Prince and some Nicotiana Sylvestris, they're in the utility room along with the pepper seedlings.

Today in the GH I've sown :- Tagetes patula strawberry blond Cobaea scandens(the purple one) Borage (for pimms) Double stocks Antirrhinum Sonnet mix (burgundy carmine, scarlet and orange) Cerinthe major Kiwi blue Gazania Tiger stripes Rudbeckia Goldilocks Kirengeshoma Palmata
This will be the last attempt at kirengehoma...the failures in previous years were with seed from Chilterns, but this year they're from DTBrowns. I realise that it's not necessarily a problem with the seeds it's more likely growing medium, temperature, storage etc.. They're just another plant that I can't seem to gro from seed.

I'd given up on the sweet peas I sowed last month, then went to make space in the growhouse they are in and spotted they've now sprouted! Must make a start sowing cosmos, zinnia and some marigolds, I may do the dahlia seeds with Monty, he mentioned them last week.
