I've sown a load of sunflower seeds along with some more Eschscholzia californica, some of last years will bloom for this year again and some I sowed last autumn will to but I like to keep them going. A lot of the sunflower seed pks had already been opened so I'm not sure how viable they will be but we'll see.

I sprinkled a few pollinator friendly seeds in a bare patch of soil, they were from an opened packet so I'm not sure if anything will come of them. I need to remember to keep them watered at least.

We always sow our sweetpea on or around Hannah's birthday on 5th october so this year is no different. I do think they make much stronger plants than those we sow in later winter / early springtime.

They grow very well where they're sown Barbara, that's what I normally do but this year we're making a bit of a flower patch where the new fruit trees were planted so I sowed them into cells and hope to plant the whole cell out in bunches if you know what I mean. They're a fabulous little flower, we've grown them for years and pollinators love them.

My Sunflowers which I sowed into cells and left sitting outside are starting to germinate, they were from some seeds I saved from last year's flowers. Most of them went to the birds but I did hang onto a few. Also up and going are the Night Scented Stock I sowed into a bowl shaped container and left outside but covered each night with glass. An annual flower mix is starting to sprout now as well, also left outside to germinate.
Yesterday I sowed some Cornflower Blue Ball and Campanula carpatica blue. These I'll keep inside until they germinate.
