Exactly. And I'm being good now, loads of salad and good stuff like Tuna. Am gradually weaning myself off the wine, especially as it costs 4 times as much here as en France!
Where's Amo BTW? Is she away? Haven't 'seen' her about lately.

Eeeeek!! I'm scrapping the whole thing and starting again! Isles of Scilly and then Birthday. Scrummy food all the way. A couple of days in UK and over to Madeira. Sank even further in to delirious stupor. Saw a number on the scales I hoped never to see again. Have managed to lose 6 lbs in four days since coming home and eating proper food!! (And sorting out the fiber balance to got me going properly again!! ) I will assess the scales and ticker thingy soom and start all over again. Next stop Christmas

I'm doing fruit juice detox thing again soon. Ordered some supplements from Holland and Barrett to take with it so I get more fibre and good stuff. I forgot to weight myself after the last one so dunno if I lost any weight but I felt better for it. Last one was a 3 day detox, this one is 7 days. Only thing I struggle to get is raw beetroot which is ironic because I had too much of it last year. Obviously didn't sow any this year and now can't get it anywhere because it's "out of season". Also toying with the idea of getting one of those mini trampolines. They're only £20 from Argos and are a great way to get some exercise. I might knock myself out if I don't invest in a sports bra or something though ;D

I'll have to wait until next week to buy mine. Then again, after the exercise we all had last night on the wii, I don't think I'll be needing one!!
We're all stood there in the lounge shaking these bloomin remotes everywhere looking like 4 people who have escaped from an asylum, laughing our heads off, sweating like buggery.

Another 3 lbs this week. I've cut the carbs like bread, pasta, rice and potatoes and feel quite good for it actually. Huge amounts of fresh fruit and veg too.
We the boulders are in their new holder and I'm ready for turning the compost heaps today!!
Who needs a gym?!

Started my detox, not doing it properly cos I don't feel like I want to, to be perfectly honest and if my heart isn't in it, I'll just get grumpy when I'm watching my OH tucking into a bacon sarnie.
It'll be easier to keep going with it the rest of the week cos he's still working mornings and I'm back on afternoons. Bought myself a mini trampoline for £15 from Argos so I'll have fun messing around on that tomorrow morning.

Whoops. I sort of forgot to weigh in on Fri . But I am trying to keep away from the fatty/sugary stuff this week and, so far, I've had quite a lot of exercise too. Still won't be surprised if my weight is more than shown below at the end of the week

Can anyone help me with one of the things which is preventing me losing weight? I am home most of the time now and find that I NEED a biscuit with a cup of tea. I have several cups of tea during the day and cannot seem to forgo the biscuit (usually digestive or a Hobnob). Can anyone sugeest anything healthy which is as satisfying as a biscuit? Don't suggest low fat digestives as they are full of sugar and just as unhealthy as the originals! Any ideas?

As satisfying as a biscuit eh?? Don't ask for much do you Have a large glass of water before the cup of tea. Have a cracker instead. Have some fruit or veg instead. Watch someone having liposuction and look at all those biscuits in the collection jar. Put a £1 in a jar for every one you eat, if you're going to gain a pound you may as well lose one too.

Hi Amo. Already have large glasses of water, all day. I drink 2 1/2 to 3 litres a day. What goes with crackers? Cheese The only fruit or veg which goes with a cup of tea is IMO banana. Can't have too many bananas each day. The last 2 sound the best but............. How can I watch someone having liposuction? I guess I could now I have flashplayer!!! Must try and find a BIG jar! Or alternatively I could drink less tea I s'pose Thanks for your input! I know there's no physical answer........more a psychological one I think!

Hi April. Good idea.............but they're not actually biscuits are they?

Post by MamIDdau on Sept 4, 2008 20:05:34 GMT
Well, yes they are... they still go soft if left in the air so technically they are. But they're not a satisfying biscuit!
