Some more Crocosmia bulbs, 30 Iris bulbs, and 15 and 22 respectively of some other flowers that I am not familiar with and have completely forgotten the names of! (Something like Ixia ...)
2 trays of iolas, 1 tray of geraniums (pale pink), 1 tray of trailing lobelia, 1 tray of lobelia, 1 tray of stocks, 1 tray of sweet williams.
Oh ... and packets & packets of seeds ...
That was on Saturday morning. On Saturday afternoon, I nipped to the local nursery and bought the following:
2 heucheras, 2 hebes, 3 lavenders, 2 dicentra, 2 verbena boniarensis.
All planted on Sunday (apart from the bedding plants - ran out of steam!)

In the last month I have spent nearly £500 on plants...eek!! I am revamping most of the beds in the garden and for once don't feel guilty about splashing the cash!! The secret is...I turned 60 last September and agreed with OH that I could keep all my pension in a separate account ( all our money has always been joint ) as long as clothes, cosmetics etc and ANYTHING for the garden came out of it - it's great!!! I don't feel I'm impinging on "our" money at all ...and he can't raise so much as an eyebrow, let alone an objection to what I spend!! ;D It's almost worth being old ( but not quite )

;D I like this thread! I have a sneaky feeling I might be a regular in here. It's so nice to be able to drivel off a list of what I have bought to someone who actually knows what I am talking about and understands my excitement!! None of my friends are gardeners.
Anyway ... I forgot to mention the 3 dianthus that I bought on Saturday ... well - they were 3 for £10 so it would have been rude not to!

I've been buying stuff to help with my veg growing. The latest is three cloches from Crocus. By the time I grow them, I'll have spent a small fortune. But at least next year, I'll only have to buy seeds.

Oh, those are mouth-watering OM. Thankfully, I don't think I get enough hot sun for them. Despite planting them in the sunniest part of the garden, with their rhizomes uncovered, I get leaves but nothing else. Yield to temptation. ;D

Ooh ... I have a fancy for one of those, Plocket.
I'm so glad to see that I'm not the only one who fills a trolley each visit!
I recently visited a local nursery, because my usual garden centre was closed ... WOW WOW WOW! Although small, they have crammed so much in there. Been twice now and can't wait for an excuse to go again!

I chose an open meshed one so that we can see the flames, and I can't wait to put it out. OH won't let me yet because the shop didn't have covers in stock (they are going to get one for us) and he wants it looked after properly. I can't wait to cook on it!

our side of my neighbours hedge is dead due to our fence panels covering it so I've had to but a plant to cover it. I bought a montana clematis, the pink variety that should cover most of it when it gets going, also a yellow water lily

Have to tell you...although I didn't buy anything on the school trips, the GC gave the school loads of seed box things that you just plant up and they have their own mini propergators. Well the school had soooo many that they gave me 5 different ones, they may not grow cos they don't know how old they are...but for nothing I'll give them a try. I have petunias, busy lizzies, lobelia, geraniums and mesembryanthemum. Have planted them all and 2 of them have to be kept in the dark so I have put them into an empty drawer in the spare room.
I LOVE freebies.. ;D
