I bought p. purple spider, we'll be able to compare notes I was tempted to buy a few more things in their sale but resisted, what with the seedlings, plugs and all the other stuff waiting to get planted out (and back orders to be delivered which I often forget about) it would be foolish to get more plants I haven't space for, I've no idea where the 15 dahlias I bought are going, or the 8 hydrangeas, 7 iris germanica, 4 echinacea green twister, 2 daylilies, 11 peony seedlings ....

Tig, Jasmine, LadygardenerI am going off you lot - what have I just done - ordered from Farmer Gracy. Did you see the Colocasia's Tig....I couldn't resist - they will make a lovely show at the back of the garden and as the TV people will be wondering about....well, that's my excuse anyway!

Jasmine I do like the look of Peony Purple Spider it's quite different to all the pastel ones Jenny has, she loves Peonies. I do have a few bits in my basket on their site..... I think you need to pop 1 or 3 in your basket! I was quite impressed with their prices and the fact that bulbs like glads were a bit different to usual.

I saw them but resisted RF - I've found the fancy ones hard to overwinter & I still have the c. esculenta you gave me years ago, although it has been under the front porch this year so we'll see if it returns.

Of course I did Jasmine. Peony Purple Spider × 1Root along with Anemone Galilee 10 bulbs, Anemone coronaria De Caen 20 Bulbs, Ranunculus Pink15 bulbs, Veronica Dwarf Ulster Blue 1 root, Lily Aubade 3 Bulbs, Tigridia pavonia Mixed Colours 15 Bulbs, There are so many planting opportunities in Jennys garden. I did look at the Colocasia Rosefriend, Tig, they are smashing but with so so many Dahlia to overwinter and limited space, I'm leaving it for the time being..... Bet you will all get great use out of the wicker set at the van maggy.

Interesting Barbara - the tuber bits don't look to be attached very well. I emailed SR customer services nearly 2 weeks ago and have heard diddly squat. Hope you get a quick reply.

That is poor Jasmine, I know when I made my last order they said they were swamped and delivery could take a while, they have a FB page you might use that to make a complaint, they don't like bad publicity.

That's an idea Barbara, it was only to say their new packaging needed a bit of modifying. They are using cardboard boxes to send out their little plants now but there is nothing to hold the plants in place so they get chucked around in the post. Woolmans have done the same but their boxes are shaped slightly to hold things in place so the plants they send out arrive in one piece.

That was quick Ladygardener, mines been shipped but not arrived. Interesting that it is coming from the Netherlands. I popped into the Coop before my opticians appointment and spoteed a bargain of a Castor Oil plant - it was the glossy leaves that caught my eye. Anyway, that came home with me! The last of my SR order arrived during the week - Asarina scandens 'Mystic Rose'. I need to pot them up.
