Well that 'promise' didn't last five minutes .... darned Sarah Raven and her tulip sale Not only have I bought 55 more tulips, but also another ITOH peony (all that jazz) and geranium rozanne as I managed to 'weed' mine out when removing the self sown masses of geranium phaeum. Oh dear Tig there really is no hope for you. I'm sure I read a comment you made recently about not having any more room.

I think I have all the ITOH peonies I've wanted to buy LG - so there should be no more temptation! I can blame Jasmine for buying tulip La belle epoque, I'm sure she had those last year, the name had stuck in my memory - it's all GWDs fault

I think I did very well considering maggy - I hadn't put the order in for Crocus & saved a fortune by going for SR - even though I did spend more with my ITOH peony included, but you can't take it with you can you? Happy days

Our FG itoh peony arrived this morning so they'll get planted today. Just over 2 weeks since I ordered them.

I've just been to Tunbridge Wells to get some bits for the top of my tulip pots otherwise our little robin spends his/her days tipping out the compost if they are bare! I got violas, primroses and wallflowers, oh, and I got some reduced daffodils.

In the interest of research I have just ordered some reduced bulbs and bare roots from SR. I had a free postage code too! Spring Fresh Tulip Collection, Paeonia 'Claire de Lune' and Papaver orientale 'Marlene' The research will be comparing Lidl, SR and Farmer G bulbs when they flower in spring!!!

That's annoying Tig, I was expecting mine to be turned down as I only bought sale items but it went through. Interestingly it was one of those orange pouch code things.

Mine came on a card with the last order I put through, but it wouldn't accept it despite several tries. I did think of contacting them the next day, but couldn't be bothered.

A friend of Jenny's was in Lidl yesterday and spotted some Peony and bought Coral Sunset and Catharina Fontijn for us which was very kind of her.

I ordered a bright yellow raincoat with liner. That will help me get to the plot more often therefore counts as a plant related item.....

Thanks Jasmine I bought a few Eremrus in the past and planted them at the plot but they did'nt do for me so I'm starting off light here in Jenny's garden to see how it goes. I think it's Dutchy that posted a pic of a purple Fritillaria some time back but again, I've not really had the place for it until now. I was telling Jenny about you getting lovely Peony in lidl's and how not all shops had them, luckily Jenny's friend knows we love them and thought of us when she saw them.

If I had not changed computer I might still have easy acces to them now I can't for the life of me think of where I left those pis.
The number of pics I keep since storage is simple means I have now got so many I can't find them either... The bane of intelligence ( of any kind )

They are in a pot Jas. At least the S&S can be kept in check then. Haven't had them for ages. Too many slime monsters in my garden at the moment.

Ah yes I'd never seen them before you posted the pics Dutchy they're really lovely and have had a hankering for them ever since. Fingers crossed what I've ordered will do well here in Jenny's garden and if they do then I'll likely get some more.

They do tend to get eaten a lot. Be it slugs or mice. But then again when they do make it they will multiply. Mine were killed by a wet winter. Yours may thrive. Handsome and fickle ah one can but love them. I might get new ones.
