I've just placed an order with Crocus for the plant supports I was thinking about, and added an epimedium which I've been thinking about for a while. Now I know you said that the code got 20% off but could someone explain how my bill came to LESS than half price?
Amount : £8.76
Paid for using card ****
Expected delivery date : within 2 weeks.
ADDRESS WITHHELD
Consisting of :-
1 x Epimedium x warleyense (2 litre pot) (Bishop's Hat) @ £5.45
1 x Medium All-Purpose Linking Stakes Plant Supports (pack of 6) @ £6.99
1 x Delivery Charge @ £5.95
1 x Discount @ -£9.63
I'm certainly not complaining ;D

I guess, but it's their mistake

It's probably correct Plocket, because with the old code it was 20% off and free delivery, so perhaps they have made this one the same. I have had some cracking bargains. Guess where I'm going now

I've bought 5 Salvias (Nemerosa) in the last couple of weeks, seem to have a passion for them at the mo. What's all this about a special code for Crocus?

Hia Bungle! When you've put everything in your wheelbarrow you have to go to checkout, but put the code 90838 in before you enter your payment details. If the code doesn't work you can cancel your order if you want It worked for me today!

Ohhh grump I didn't think to try the earlier code to see if it was still working and it is a better deal. I could have saved even more money on the order I did on Monday.

Don't be disheartened Jasmine, I don't think you would have saved any more on Roses. It seems to be herbaceous which is giving stupendous discount. The old code wasn't working for a while, because I tried to use it. So it may be a glitch and it may disappear again. Herbaceous has automatic 20% discount, then the code gives another 20%. But I tried it with roses, and it gave only one discount. So you did as well as you could.

Never mind Jasmine - you'll still have those lovely plants, and Crocus are always good quality IMHO. You've got the code for next time and if it doesn't work then so be it - if you really want the plants you'd pay full wack!!!

I do stilll think Crocus is great even if their discounts are a bit strange - you are right about the quality Plocket and if you've got your heart set on something and a special space lined up for it you would buy it discount or no discount! ;D

I couldn't just leave it at Gertrude Jekyll now could I?!
1 x Rosa Veilchenblau (4 litre pot) (Rambler Rose) @ £8.95
2 x Rosa Gertrude Jekyll (4 litre pot) (Shrub Rose) @ £17.90
2 x Rosa The New Dawn (4 litre pot) (Climbing Rose) @ £17.90
2 x Rosa Falstaff (4 litre pot) (English Rose) @ £19.90
1 x Pair of Bo-peep Night Lights @ £39.95
1 x Cast-iron Candle Lantern @ £19.99
Oops!
At the end of my patio I will be putting up a rose arch (another one!) over the path with trellis going from the arch across to the fence (so that the end of the garden beyond the patio is screened off ... that's where the compost bins are, the new shed and greenhouse will be, and my planned raised veg beds)
Anyway - that's what the roses are for - to be planted on the patio side of the trellis.

When I've had a spending spree on plants, I like to convince myself that I'm not wasting money. Of course, I'm not, because they will give me pleasure for years, but like to play Devil's Advocate anyway. Went today into the local baker (used to bake everything myself, but everyone is on a diet these days). I bought 4 morning rolls, 2 scones, a danish pastry, 2 iced buns, and a bottle of the pink syrup to put on the top of strawberry tarts. They cost £5.40. The same cost as the average perennial, and the cakes will be gone by tomorrow. Better to buy plants then.

Well, the plants can help you to lose weight, because you have to dig a hole for them. I did enjoy my iced bun though
