What have you done Jilly? ? ;D I'm going to order it too. I cannot for the life of me get Woodpecker to root so a back up second one would be good. There are some other nice penstemons in the collection too and Stapleford Gem and Sour Grapes which some folk say is one and the same penstemon so that will be interesting to see when they flower.

I am resisting that offer, despite liking many of those in the collection! I seem to have done rather well with my slap dash cutting technique last year, snip it off and shove it straight in! Only problem is that I didn't expect so many to take, and I'll have penstemon forests in the same colour if they survive whatever the weather throws at us in the next couple of months!

If any of your Hayloft plants keel over Florence let them know - they will send you replacements. I had 5 penstemons from T&M back in the autumn - I'd never heard of any of them - they all had Royal/Jubilee sort of names - I've only got 3 left

Haylofts are good Florence, but saying that, I haven't had any probs with penstemons from T and M either. I didn't even look at what varieties they are - just ordered from the e mail I need to build up my stock plants again........ as ever ;D

Perhaps I've just been unlucky but it starts to get expensive having so many loses from one order.

I'll have to check what cuttings are surviving in the growhouse Florence, but I think I can help with Hawkshead.

T&M are usually good at replacing or refunding things too Florence - although many folk on here who've bought stuff from them have ended up with unexpected purchases! That said - Jilly and I got surprise coreopsis from Haylofts last autumn and I've never had the wrong thing from them before.

I've not had much success before...I had 'Husker red' grown from seed but it got lost in the turmoil of moving the garden around a few years ago...wasn't that keen on it....but it seemed easy enough to grow from seed. I have sown the new seed already in small pots of seed compost...and have it in an unheated propagator in the GH for 3 weeks...then (unless it germinates there) I move the pots into a heated propagator. It's got two chances ent it?

They certainly do Cheery!!! I grew P. Blue Lake from seed a few years ago and it worked ok - plants didn't last well although I think Tig still has one.

I was tempted until I remembered these whose arrival is probably imminent & after checking I think I've still got half a dozen of the collection we shared last year still surviving Jasmine, luckily I think all the blue ones have survived.
