Not looked in on this thread for a while. You do get some great shots scarecrow,. Here are a couple of the same bee in each photo enjoying the flowers on my pyracantha which is absolutely covered in flowers from top to bottom this year. I've had it probably 10 years now and bought it from Woolworths!

I bet you can hear them "humming" from a distance bagpuss - the neighbours wine is like that... I was out early and caught the first bees in the Poppies... White bum was just flying in... ...was enjoying himself.. ...when his mate (another white bum) came to join in... meanwhile this one seems to have been around for a while - he is fully laden... ...just look at that pollen!!!

Thanks for the Nom Jilly, - I think there are a lot of bees in the garden this year and the butterflies are just starting in earnest... Love this...you have loads of white bums as well....
