The bees were going mad for Gaillardia nectar today. I counted 12 on them, don't know if you can spot them all. A few of them closer up, some hiding a bit ...

Don't know if I managed to spot all the bees Ron, but your Gaillardia are looking wonderful, it's strange mine seem to do better in pots too.

He certainly was having a fun time Rosefriend,. I have quite a bit of bee activity in the garden at the moment, and it is lovely to see. Tuesday evening, I managed to rescue a worn out bee from the little walk in growhouse. I managed to pop him on the catmint and eventually it had had enough from the flowers to manage to fly away. Very satisfying.

I don't know what it is with bees and the walk in gh's. I'm constantly opening sides and flapping like crazy to show them the way out but. I've tried capturing them with a glass and paper like I do with spiders but it does'nt work with the flimsy sides. Thankfully most do eventually get the message bagpuss. There have been such a lot of different types of bees in the garden this year and the other day I watched one of the leaf cutter bees carrying something close to his tummy, great sight but the camera was inside the house so I could'nt get a pic.

I don't know what it is either. I find the same with hoverflies too Ladygardener,. I love seeing the various pollinators going about their business. It can be quite fascinating to watch.
