Aha - now this is the thing FA (you men always miss the subtle hints of us laydees : - What missus FA wants is for you to learn ballroom dancing so that the two of you can glide around a dancefloor in a majestical fashion looking like Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers! When next you ask what to buy her as a prezzie, we have the answer - you don't have to buy her anything, just learn to dance and get a tux ;D x Tig

I left the room and Mrs FA grabbed the tv remote. When I came back, she'd changed it to SCD and said that for once she was having control of the telly . I then moaned about SCD being on and she said "why don't you watch it, you never know you might like it". I knew from the bits & pieces of it that I've seen in the past that I would hate every minute but just to keep the peace (and because I couldn't be arsed to get off the sofa ;D), I stayed and watched. 20 minutes or so of my life I can never get back. FA x Ahhhh - girl power came into play!!! ;D

Oh that's so romantic FB.
I'd love to be able to ballroom dance, but the wonderful Peggy Spencer personally taught me to waltz so I'll cling to the memory of that. (Picture me aged about 14 in a pair of dungarees trying to look graceful when I was FORCED onto the dancefloor. I'd only gone to watch a friend!!!)

OH and I both went and hid at our wedding at 'that time' because we couldn't have all our left feet in together ;D ;D Mind you I was later literally whisked off my feet by a strapping 6ft 4 friend of ours who dances incredably well with the reassurance of, 'don't worry, I won't let you put a foot wrong,' and he didn't! It was amazing, talk about taking the lead. Unfortunately it wasn't the new OH. ;D

Cherie Lunghi and her partner, James Jordon, were on the breakfast news prog this morning - she should perhaps stick to the dancing and let others do the talking I'm not sure that her obvious delight in doing so well thus far will go down well with the viewers - people have a habit of shooting themselves in the foot by not understanding that folk don't like 'smugness'

I haven't asked LP who she wants to win, or who she's going to vote for. I don't vote except for a winner. We'll hopefully stay up on finals night if it's not too late for LP. I won't be voting for Cherie now so at the moment it looks as though Austin is going to get my vote.

Austin for me too. From the laydees I like Christine.

I think Christine is a bit of a dark horse. If she could get over her nerves, and have more confidence in herself, she could really be a contender

I agree - she seems really nice and natural. I hope she can quell her nerves I have a soft spot for Brendan but haven't really taken to his dance partner Lisa

What a laugh tonight Some were terrible, others hilarious, and a couple of surprises! Jodie Kidds effort was a major improvement I thought - almost graceful Mark or Andrew to go, or if its to be one of the laydees maybe Heather or Lisa? x Tig

I predict that either Don or Heather will go out. John will get a huge public sympathy note. I hope Heather goes

I too thought Jodie had made a remarkable effort and did really well. I'd like to keep John in because he seems such a lovely man but it is a dancing competition. However there are several others who could go in my opinion, Mark is one of them. It was great saturday night entertainment.

What a transformation from Jodie, the remarks from the judges should boost her confidence and help her to let go a bit more. Well done her. I was cringing watching Mark and Andrew so I think they should be in the dance off tonight. Heather wasn't that good but she was marginally better than the boys. As for Bruce I now turn the sound off when he is on, sorry, but he gets on my nerves thinking he can get a laugh everytime he opens his mouth. I just Love John and Don and I think Tom will be in the final.

Apparently....according to Teletext.....Bruce is stepping down at the end of this series He is quoted as being miffed at the criticism he has received and has said "I want to go out on top" a bit late for that, but a welcome decision anyway .

I think Cherie is bril...... I love Strictly, but a bit disappointed last night.... nobody got a 10, I guess its still early in the competition. John made me smile bless him "the public will save us" Looking forward to the results tonight... don't know who it will be, there was a few dodgy performances..... FF x

I think Mark and Andrew should be in the dance-off but I wouldn't like to have to choose between them. Tim, Austin and Lisa were wonderful though.

Well, there it is for another week and poor old Don went off when he didn't really deserve to. However, I don't s'pose the order matters that much. We all know those who won't stay the course. What we don't yet know is who will?!
My congratulations go out to ALL participants for the effort they have put in.
PS OH is gutted that Lilia has gone out and was heard to mumble something about that programme not being watched on HIS TV again! That'll soon be sorted next week though!!!

What a shame, I liked Don he wasn't a great dancer but seemed like a nice bloke. If I had to say who was going to win I reckon there are five with the potential at the moment, but it is all down to public popularity and they are a fickle lot (the public that is not the people dancing )

I think the best men are.....Austin,Tom The best women are...Rachel,Cherie,Christine,Lisa But people seem to vote for who they like rather than who is the best dancer so it is anyone's guess who will win P.S. I think John Sergeant looks and sounds more like Jo Brand every week ;D
