I've put it outside because OH doesn't like the scent LG - and thought I would plant it as an experiment, I don't expect it to survive the winter ... although if it stays this mild who knows ;D Getting back on thread .. here it is in flash tonight and whilst passing the mini-growhouse I stuck the lens in to snap these .. x Tig

Tig; you can't leave that nice, robust, healthy plant outside over winter for it to die, most likely. Have you considered the option of leaving OH outside instead? ;D I mean really, he's the one with the problem about the scent, right? So why should the plant have to stay out in the cold. Nice looking peppers. Hot?

Lady G. the problem for me isn't keeping the plant alive; it's getting it to bloom again once the flush of blooms that's on it when I buy it dies away. I get it to stay nice and healthy looking, but no blooms. And let's face it, an orchid plant itself isn't all that great looking. But I am going to try the tea trick

TT I have too many plants in the house as it is - the strelitzia regina is soooo big it needs a room of its own I did think about putting OH out ... problem is he has a key to get back in It isn't the only thing I've put out .. I have also freed the guzmania (bromeliad - not a hope of over-wintering), a large yucca (jury is out on whether that survives) and a huge Monstera Deliciosa!!

Well, I've stocked up on my Tetleys, Tig. Tetleys Pure Green Tea. It's tea bags so I hope they can do the job just as well as the loose leaves.

I'm sure the plants will enjoy a nice cuppa anyway TT ~ mine all seem to like black tea although I'm sure green is more healthy ;D
