Hia Chuckles! Welcome aboard Tig's doing the catering and is doing an amazing job, especially as Roan is taking us to some wonderful eateries. I can't wait to go to the pool with the tube slide - I've never been on one of those ;D Do you realise we are all enjoying this glorious sunshine, and the cooler 17degree evenings (shame!) and OH texted me to say that they were gritting the roads back at home!!! Yes I'll have another slice of that delicious bacon if I may

What a jolly crew we are - I am ravenous after my swim - and looking better than I have for years - even bought a cheeky brunette swimming cap ;D I'll just grab a bacon and egg toasted sarnie or two before we set off. I might have to pass on the Hydroslide - shouldn't go dipping on a full tum

Right, it's time for the official welcome at Te Poho Rawiri Marae Ah yes, gazebos to shade us from the sun as well as we are greeted on to the Marae. We will need a male to accept the challenge, so it looks like that will be you Dr Bill! Remember, never take your eyes off the warrior as you bend down to pick up the offering, and don't flinch during the challenge!

Gosh isn't he mean looking, frightened the life out of me ;D Poor DrBill you were very brave but I wouldn't let him get a way with sticking his tongue out and yelling at you like that. What was he on about ;D

After the challenge, representatives of the Mare will give a speech and a Waiata or song.
One of our local boys, Prince Tui Teka, from up the coast at Tolaga Bay would do an awesome one, but sadly he passed away some time ago. Still, sit back and enjoy this:
It is expected that we will do the same, so Dr Bill will have to give a speech and then the rest of us can sing.
A traditional British song would be best that we all know and can sing well. Any ideas?

Scaaaary OK, will this do? uk.youtube.com/watch?v=_cWz9MrHskk&feature=relatedHere are the words When Britain first, at heaven's command, Arose from out the azure main, Arose, arose, arose from out the a-azure main, This was the charter, the charter of the land, And guardian angels sang this strain: Rule Britania! Britannia rule the waves. Britons never, never, never shall be slaves. Rule Britannia! Britannia rule the waves. Britons never, never, never shall be slaves. The nations, not so blest as thee, Must in their turn, to tyrants fall, Must in ,must in, must in their turn, to tyrants fall, While thou shalt flourish, shalt flourish great and free, The dread and envy of them all. (Chorus) Rule Britannia! Britannia rule the waves. Britons never, never, never shall be slaves. Rule Britannia! Britannia rule the waves. Brittons never, never, never shall be slaves.

Perhaps not! Britannia may have ruled the waves once, but now I believe the French have a larger navy! Maybe if you could squeeze the orchestra in and Bryn Terfel? ;D Actually the NZSO is here this week, so perhaps we could ask them to play it for us. What about the Beatles "Here Come The Sun". uk.youtube.com/watch?v=sUS49XSN6Zs

Here comes the food! They've lifted the Hangi And look at this wonderful seafood platter or maybe you would fancy a crayfish? Perhaps some Kina? Hmmm - perhaps not! It's a great source of Iodine though! After lunch, time to relax and enjoy the sun, or shade as it's 28C at the moment and rising! How about a flight in a vintage Tiger Moth? Nice way to see Gisborne from the air! And then a relaxing wine, beer or cider down at the Wharf This evening we are dining out!

Phew I'm still recovering from that scary welcome - DrBill you were BRILLIANT. I'm not sure I would have wanted to bend down though, let alone keep looking at him! Right well I've got Bryn but it seems he isn't wanted. I'll leave him to meander around for a while and he can join us if he wants. I just LOVED that fight over Gisbourne but wished the pilot had warned me he was going to do a loop the loop. Luckily the bacon sandwich stayed down - just!!! ;D I'm going to go for the Tuna with wasabi mayo. I've never thought of putting it in mayo so I might have to give that a go sometime

When you've eaten and drunk your fill, it will be time to wend your way back to the Tardis for a good sleep.
At 9.30pm it's 20C outside and 26C inside, although inside the Tardis I am sure you can make it as cool or as warm as you like.
Big day tomorrow! Plenty of surprises in store, so sleep well!
Oh, and another fine day is forecast for tomorrow!
