Yes Susie - at the moment FA has got us doing our 10 favourite albums of all time!! If I was born in the 1980's - piece of cake maybe - but it is a real challenge trying to restrict myself to ten ;D

Thanks Tig Without a shadow of a doubt, my fav album of all time has to be 'Dark Side of the Moon', Pink Floyd. This is probably my fav track, for very personal reasons. It's best played loud, through earphones straight into your head S x

I know what you mean Susie, sometimes I feel I'm attracted to a bit of music, and ashamed to admit it. And PJ, obviously I will be having a Bob album, but it is so hard to choose just one. I'm leaving that choice for a while. Meantime, another difficult choice of album, from a Scottish performer this time. Though not much choice on You Tube John Martyn, and a bit of a cheat because this is a 2 disc anthology. Sweet little Mysteries. The Island Years uk.youtube.com/watch?v=LOi_wxypeGcuk.youtube.com/watch?v=8BzFiO_a_Oouk.youtube.com/watch?v=kCI1IW1aRP0

I've just read this thread for the first time Now, what can I do in return? Do I just post some of my fav music? Welcome to the thread Sooz. It's only taken you 6 months to read it........ ;D Anyway, the original idea was that you posted your top 10 tracks of all time and why they were in there. Then it got expanded to a top 20 and then it became a bit of a free for all with people posting tracks they really like (which is fine, btw, not a critcism). As it seemed there were fewer and fewer posters on the thread, I thought it might be a nice idea for people to post their top 10 albums. Nobody except me & Tig seemed that bothered but it appears that one or two more have now decided to join in, which is great (the more the merrier !) 'coz I love music and I enjoy seeing what other people's tastes are. FA x

I'm up to no. 4 on my all time top 10 albums.
I was a miserable morose teenager so for me, The Smiths were the perfect band. "Meat is Murder" was an all time classic depressing album that was just perfect for my mood for most of the mid 80's !
I can't find any proper videos of any of the tracks on YouTube, only live versions which to me never really sound any good.

Yes, he had a beautiful voice. But it always saddens me to think that even when everyone was buying his music, he was still not allowed to enter white restaurants. At least that has changed in the USA now. Would he have believed that a black man could be in the running for president.?

Sooz I love Planet Earth by Duran Duran but (sorry) I thought David Sylvian was a pretentious T**t ;D I don't like his voice either ! If we're getting soppy for a moment, this was what me & Mrs FA did our first dance to. It was this record that kept us together when we went through a rocky patch around 10 years ago so it was a natural choice when we got married. Savage Garden - Truly, Madly, Deeply uk.youtube.com/watch?v=H6Dg1Ymji-QThis was our second dance as the words were very appropriate. Shania Twain - Still the one uk.youtube.com/watch?v=24hLo2h7EW8FA x
