Do you not drink at all Jenny? We never drink spirits, sometimes drink lager ( usually in the summer) but do drink copious amounts of wine ;D ;D I love things like Malibu,Baileys and am partial to rum and vodka, but don't have them in deference to my waistline ;D ;D

We're both wine drinkers but we seem to have acquired loads of half finished bottles of spirits over the years. We won't be seeing many people over Christmas so we're just concentrating on stocking up the wine lake Did have to get a bottle of amaretto & 2 bottles of Harveys Bristol Cream though or else it wouldn't seem like Christmas. Strange I'd never dream of drinking sweet sherry the rest of the year (which is probably a good thing) as it seems to go straight to my head Jillyx

My M-i-L didn't wasn't a drinker, a snowball at Christmas being a booze up to her, could never understand why she was light headed after Christmas dinner with us, maybe the red wine gravy, :)the sherry trifle, and the rum fed cake, ;D had a little something to do with it.

;D I don't drink that much these days as I'm on quite a few tablets and I'd be high as a kite in no time but I do enjoy a glass or two.

I don't like seeing the effects of too much alcohol on some people. Why can't they stop when they've had enough - rather than make fools of themselves?

Once my head starts to slightly buzz I stop and switch to tea or coke.

I've wrapped all the presents ... whoooo hoo! Made a serious effort to tidy up and moved all the gardening books out of the dining room, hand delivered the local cards to neighbours and shredded all the envelopes off the cards we've had. Starting to make some progress but the dust from wrapping has got my throat, so I may have to postpone putting the tree up as that will make a bit more dust no doubt
