That's not good. It's got an article on dahlias in it this week hasn't it? Or maybe that was last week. I picked it up in Sainsburys and put it back! I can't get mine to reflower - there's plenty of healthy leaves and not a flower shoot in sight The article says they flower from March to November

Yup! Mr Dibley (I forget his name) recommended a size of pot - it wasn't very big (I've had a glass of wine and the amount of cm escapes me!! ;D) and said to keep them a bit dry.

Did you get this weeks AG Auricula?
The Telegraph magazine on Saturday was completely devoted to a real mix of famous people's gardens. William Trevor finished his interveiw about his Devon garden by saying, 'I have liked learning gardening....it has been a marvellous thing in my life'. I liked that!

I usually flick through, looking at the pictures, read the letter page & AT then go back to any of the articles that have caught my eye. Can't say that anything did much i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd161/GWDAdmin1/Smilies/Default/undecided.gif . I did linger a bit over the new Tulips, may go on the Bloms site later & I think I'm going to get the free Raspberry canes. I do grow a bit of veg but I don't think my tiny patch is ever going to produce a glut of the epic proportions they were talking about. They seem to be doing more & more of these special issues, focusing on just one thing, seems a bit unfair on readers who aren't interested in that one thing. Jillyx

I'm glad it's not just me. I started it last night and finished it this morning. Got very uppity about their recommendation for folk to grow Narcissus Cedric Morris for early colour as they're quite hard to get, very expensive and usually rot away rather than multiply. I might get the raspberry canes too Jilly as most of mine at the lottie have died for some reason ..and some of the tulips were gorgeous...oh, and there's 20% off at SR and she has some bvery nice tulips too.

I'm thinking of sticking them in a biggish pot/trough where I've got the spare Sprouts (the Rasperries that is). The sprouts are like doilies but at least it's proved that things can grow in that corner.

Sounds perfect Jilly - I've got 2 (that I saved from the bunnies) from the veggie plot at the bottom of the garden and they'd been chewed back to stumps. I put them in plastic pots (not very big as it was supposed to be temporary back in April ) and I noticed they've got little raspberries on them.

Well it did'nt take me long to read the GW magazine once I got started. Not a lot of real intrest to me in it this month at all. I did like the tip of putting a bit of J. cloth over the holes in the bottom of the pots to keep out visitors.
