Hooray Jasmine, Grumpy's back & unnibbled this year. I actually really like the way the outer petals come right out, as well as his sweet grumpy little face.

The petals remind me of bassett dog ears so the sad face goes quite well with them Jilly. I'm so pleased with that little clump. I started with 1 bulb 2 years ago and it's bulking up well!

My Mum said yesterday that she's got a couple of flowers on one of hers Auricula & she's in north Kent so that's well early. One of my Hellebores that came from Mum's self sown seedlings. My first Daffs, baby ones in the front garden. And the Pulmonarias are starting to come out in the front, think the Crocus behind is Gypsy Girl.

Jilly that Hellibore is a little beauty. The 1st daffs out are so special are'nt they and your border looks great, the Pulmonaria is beautiful and the bees will love it. I think I've lost my Pulmonaria over the winter. I have none where I normally grow it and just a little in a different place, thankfully I moved it last year or the year before. Is it a long lasting perennial or does it need replacing every 5 years or so.

Thanks for the nom Ladygardener . If my Pulmonaria are anything to go by they last for ever, they're not a fancy variety, just one that Mum had been growing for years, if it's happy it self seeds like a demon, but (see the wild & wonderful thread) it grows where it wants to, not necessarily where you want it to be
