Took a wonderful party round the rockery today. Alas, i found these two buxom wenches curled up on a park bench with a bottle of gin between them. Ladies and gentlemen..... Jilly and Jasmine (i'm the ugly one in the middle)

Our rose between 2 thorns - lovely Andy!...and what a fantastic tour guide. You will recognise some of these pics - no gin in sight you will notice (we'd finished it!) - and they really don't do Andy's beautiful garden justice but here we go... It was a great day out, lovely to see Jilly again and lovely to meet andy. Thanks for a super tour! xx

One of the things I found really interesting was the fantastic range of trees throughout the park - I don't always notice trees (or know what they are) but they had some really interesting specimens throughout the park. Loved your story about the Gingko as well andy - been around since prehistoric times and yours wasn't giving up over a few squirts of Round-up!

Beautiful photos and a beautiful place.
I got all excited thinking it was Preston in Lancashire and I'm near there on Friday - after googling I realised where it is. Oh well still some satisfaction in looking at the photos

Ever so slight mileage difference.
That said if I don't use the sat nav there's a good chance I could end up on the South Coast ...
