Caught one mole so far and that seems to have stopped the damage to one big central island bed. That is something at least OB - there seems to be so many molehills around here this spring as well..wonder i it has anything to do with the mild winter.. RF

These Daffs are the ones a friend bought me last week. They've opened out beautifully and smell divine. Thought I'd share.

Pity cut flowers don't have names - they'd be lovely in the garden. My Magnolia is almost fully out. This year the toning Narcissi round it won't be in flower. They're only just appearing! The Cowichan primulas have clumped up well.

Wow, what a stunning colour scarecrow. I'm in the sunny south too, but mine are still only little tufts of leaves. Don't know how I missed your bunch of Daffs Ladygardener, they're so pretty.

This is Pulsatilla grandis. It rarely sets seed. Got some last year and so hopefully I will have some nice lilac coloured babies next year. Trouble is they do cross with the purple ones so no guarantee of colour.

scarecrow - what a fabulous colour! Here's my Akebia quinata (cream form) in flower. It's always ahead of the maroon one.

I love it owdboggy, I'll have to have a google and see if I can get hold of some of them. I love the way it has blue and lilac tones and the flowers hang down like little lampshades.

Trouble is they do cross with the purple ones so no guarantee of colour. Rather delicate aren't they - lovely!! scarecrow - what a fabulous colour! Here's my Akebia quinata (cream form) in flower. It's always ahead of the maroon one. I do love this - I had the maroon one for year and loved it - unfortunately we had to get rid of it last Spring. I would get another one, especially this cream one but OH would never be happy with another one...gorgeous though. Just found out that this Scilla is, S. rosenii You really do have some lovely plants owdboggy!! RF

I do have an indexed book where I write the names of plants I'd like, Rosefriend, but yes, I've jotted the name on a scrap of paper for the moment.

Love the wallflower Barbara it's such a vibrant colour. It's amazing about the Osteos this Winter isn't it, yours still look lovely & neat though, mine look like they all need a good haircut, but then I'd lose the flowers

Your wallflowers are a real splash of colour Barbara and I am slightly (just a very teeny bit) jealous that you and @jiolly kept your osteos going and mine are just dusty twiggy things! I am not going to take it personally!

One of my favourite flowers barbara, they look lovely . There is nothing like the scent when your pottering in the garden at this time of the year . I cut a few head off into a tiny vase but the scent just isn`t the same as outdoors
