It's been a funny old year ;D It was summer in April, winter in May, June was like Autumn, and July ... well a few days of summer but mostly yuck and some really cold nights! August got us back to summer, but some days were low light and grey ... no wonder the plants are confused Nice flowers though Geranium x Tig

Colchicums in full flower Also, i noticed some leaves appearing the other day. Thought they were allium but as they don't smell, i can only assume they're daffs...i'll have a proper look next week and get pics.

I noticed one of my iris has a flower stalk on it again - the same one that had a late flower stalk last year. The others never do it.

Most of mine are too LG & when I spoke to MIL at the weekend she said her Magnolia Susan is flowering.
It may be unusual but those Hellebore flowers look lovely with the Hosta leaves Geranium.

The iris spike has started to flower. Part of me wants to cut it and bring it indoors as I remember last year the same thing happened and the flowers didn't like getting rained on and didn't cope well with the morning dew. But it looks gorgeous where it is...at the moment.

No, I left it in the end Auricula - there's a second spike coming out too. If you would like a bit it needs splitting next year.

RF sent me some seeds of the lovely delphinium she bought and I sowed them straight away this summer. They have grown well, a bit too well perhaps! ;D Tig
