Another trial? I just ordered the seeds, I need to go lick my wounds and make sense of it all now, went a bit mad, Add all that to what I already have and I may have a bit of trouble fitting it in, not impossible though!

I once grew a black potato. I have a variety of ‘black potato’ with a dark purple skin but the flesh is white. They are very good for mashing. I don’t know what variety they are, I received a few seeds some years ago from someone. Because of theit colour its quite hard to find them in the ground.

Spud orderers take note.....
According to Alan Roman there has been big problems with potato seed supplies this year and will be a "difficult season for several catalogues printed before the seed market settled down and one result may be even more substitution than usual".
Last year there was a shortage of International Kidney (aka Jersey Royal) which left a lot of people disappointed. Alan Roman promises to e-mail first before any substitutes. He is offering at least 79 varieties many in small weights.
Cucumbers - I don't remember any of my Lemon (3 x types) ones being especially hairy in 2006, well not after I rubbed them anyway. They did taste quite melony and one variety was quite good in cooking once it "overmatured".

I have only ordered a packet of dwarf type sweet pea from suttons so I can grow them in a pot. Daren't buy anything else until we move but then it'll prolly be too late by the time I get settled.
I wanted to buy some carrot seeds to grow them for my bunnies. Any suggestions for any that are easy to grow, pest free and can be grown in containers?

You can grow carrots very successfully in containers and if you fleece them they will be pest free, its the only way Ive found to keep the blinkin carrot fly off. Just pick a container deep enough for the chosen type of carrot. Its also worth noting that carrot fly remain close to the ground and raising the container may make them miss them. ;D
