Does anyone know of anywhere doing just 5 or 6 seed potatoes? Not a kilo or loads, but enough for a potato barrel? I found that smaller independent garden centres often do them loose so you could buy as few as you wish. The price is the pretty much the same as the packaged.

Thank skarloey and CC, love those sites. If only I hadn't gone mad with T&M and Fothergills I could have gone for those tats. Maybe next year when I am a bit wiser as to how much I can really grow in the area I've got. Plocket.....don't do it.....you got no more rooooooom

I've bought my first veggie seeds today (exciting ain't it?) Still need climbing french beans and potatoes Now have my seed pots. I have gone for "Rocket" this year as it is supposed to be a good cropper. I will be growing them in a potato barrel again, but I have also bought some potato planters to extend my crop a bit

Well, two weeks to the day and my seeds STILL haven't arrived. So I phoned them up this morning and they were VERY appologetic and promised to re-send them. She was absolutely sure they had gone out and believes them to be lost in the post.

Have picked up my French Beans ("Blue Lake") and Peas ("Hurst Greenshaft") today. I think I now have all my veggie seeds except I wanted to try French Bean "Hunter" as well as per the board's trial. All I have to do now is find space to grow them!
