We had steak & mediterranean roast veg last night & tonight we've got a spicy lamb casserole as I did a roast on Friday. Didn't want to be cooking a whole roast today as I'm going to be doing other cooking anyway, making up a big batch of Spicy Butternut soup for my lunches next week.

We had roast pork, Austrian red cabbage, roast taties and green beans for lunch followed by a Magnum. Tonight we'll just have a light snack. I made an apple cake today so we'll have some of that.

I've got some haddock to skin and bone, might make some batter and do some potato and onion scallops as well. OH loves them but they take quite a while to cook and I have to stay in the kitchen and keep an eye on the chip pan.

I really wanted potato with cheese and bacon (cooked tatties, insides removed and mashed- skins put back in oven to crisp up, bacon grilled and then chopped into the mashed potato with some cheese) and it really hit the spot!

Managed to pick up one of those big pieces of beef on offer in Sainsburys, so I'll roast a big enough bit to give us enough for cold tomorrow & put the rest in the freezer.

Are you sure it was beef Jilly? I was looking at some fish fingers in the freezer - they've got to be cod haven't they M&S have some really good meal deal things. There Valentine's one with the bottle of wine was really good. We are having very little tonight!

King prawn stir fry tonight - I forgot to take the prawns out of the freezer so they are in cold water at the mo We can finish off the key lime pie for pud.

We had liver, onions and mash yesterday. Tonight we are having roast ham, roast tatties and cabbage. No pudding I need to save room for bubbles and chocklit later
